  1. where does dog travel, and how is dog contained? I would suggest ginger tablets , or glace ginger pieces ....no sedation or anything :)
  2. OH Dear It's these times when we are both angry and devastated that our dogs have such a limited span of time with us. The fact you are questioning , tells me that you have 'almost' made a decision.... Your poor boy is tired, and he has been battling these last weeks .... I always look at what quality of life an old/ill dog has ..and will treatment bring better quality of life- or yet another struggle ? If you bring him home , will he , and YOU be relaxed and happy ? Will he be guaranteed no pain ? Will you be able to look at him without feeling guilty and so , so sad? It is a horrible time - and from my experience , it is the WORST time .. . Once an old/ill pet has been given its wings , and is finally out of reach of all pain and sadness ... there is, for me, amongst the loss and grief, a feeling that I have done what is right - I have sent my pet on its way before life is 24 hrs of pain & confusion . I will never knowingly let a pet of mine get to the stage of being so ill as to not still enjoy food , or a sleep in the sun ..I prefer to have the memory of them enjoying something , still :) I can not tell you what decision to make - only think of how your boy is feeling .... do you think he would want to fight on ..? Thinking of you , and wishing you strength .
  3. How about straight out of camera? NO editing . We can play around with getting results , both accurate and 'interesting' by adjusting composition? speed/ISO, focus , etc ? Anyone game? :)
  4. fingers crossed that it is 'only' a fatty lump.....
  5. wrap lots of treats in newspaper ..put them all in a cardboard box ...then in another .. and let him rip!! :)
  6. here is mine from today ... he would not let me get a front on shot .... so this is all I got :) A jumping spider I think..quite small,on part of a Strelitzia flower.
  7. ooohhh..The B/W is very eye catching :) You really will enjoy going into the big tropical house !! So much greenery :)
  8. I am so glad he is feeling better - just keep things sedentary for a while , to let whatever it was heal /rest ..and hopefully , it won't recur. Mind you ,what you are seeing may well be the effect of the anti inflammatories ... . fingers crossed!!
  9. I have to keep coming back back to that smiley one ... there's just something about a baby smile :) :)
  10. yep LOL. Yeah, yeah .. I don't have much , I know :p
  11. he is just beautiful!! his eyes look terrific, and there are cute little bubbles at the corners of his mouth ! :D Awwwwww. I love the third smiley one :) :) The first one's kinda cute too :) To me the one where he has the football looks as if he's about to cry ...his face is just gorgeous ... but not being a football fan the props do nothing for me Obviously dad is a big Caarlton fan, so he will just love it! I find that orange seat distracting, unfortunately .. sorry, you did ask ......
  12. look at that little face :) Awww
  13. It's his 1/2 brother , Leo. :) lookit Sid ... :D Gorgeous!
  14. outside? :) I presume the spitz is being taught to go outside? a little dog toilet, made using fake turf ..so that texture will be a part trigger for when she's out on grass ..rather than maybe a magazine on a couch, or newspaper on a carpet :p Toilet training is a full time job ..tiny little bladders, and no chance of 'holding on' for months ... They both look cute - thanks for the photos . How old is the spitz boy? He looks tall for a puppy ...
  15. :) I think Dexter has indeed found an owner who will try & do the best :) re: food ... there are so many choices . introduce any new food gradually ..so as to try & avoid tummy upsets . chicken necks ..Hmm.. wings might be better , as sometimes pups tend to swallow the necks , which can be dangerous, and cause choking. There is one basic adage with food ...The best food is the one your dog does best on! :) some more reading for you :) LINK LINK
  16. I thought it was a child ! ......."our boy" Glad Dexter seems OK... a vet visit might be in order, so it is 'on record' and so he can be checked carefully.Labs have pretty tough necks, though, and that loose skin serves a good purpose :) A very scary thing for everyone.
  17. Welcome :) Did his breeder offer any advice to you at all ? There is so much information on here .. I will give you a few links to threads which may be useful ..to start you off, and no doubt there will be lots of advice from those who have 'been there, done that' :) Obviously the best thing is to research, and have info on hand before you get a pup ... but it's early days , so now you and your Mum, and Dexter can learn together! Your Mum and you both need to be on the same page - otherwise you may end up with a confused and problem dog very quickly ../ Happy reading! LINK LINK LINK LINK
  18. snook..LOVE that second one ..... :) :)
