  5. I lost so much energy, time and sleep over this the last 2 years ... if I do it this year, I refuse to try very hard
  6. I went on a bit of a macro rampage yesterday I posted a few in the "colour challenge" thread ... but I thought I'd post up some of the others that don't fit here actually this one may be close? either way, it's Lotus' eye lashes ;) I really enjoy these flowers for macro-play, no idea what they are, they are quite small, and are from some kind of vine/creeper? oh, I thought I had more ... I did find this one from my parents place though and a couple of Jamie's eye ... that's all
  7. okay I spent some time working on this challenge today green pink - maybe borderline kinda a purpley red red another green and finally yellow - I saw this bush on my dog park path about a week ago, before I knew about this challenge, and thought "wow, that's yellow" so decided today to get the shot that I failed to get previously especially for here oops almost forget the brat boy Chester white on white (not sure if this one counts exactly?) cheers
  8. nandi is so cute 30/52 - a little silly Jamie girl ;)
  9. ditto, been wanting to get involved in the past couple of months, but just struggled to get my act together. Gotta say, this may a little tricky, I may end up doing a lot of black and/or white images ... or maybe I'll stretch a little into some more macro ... hmm
  10. nice don't listen to Leila, more pics of her please ;) Love the 1st shot of her Looks like you have a fair amount of light coming into your dining room too
  11. 29/52 - boring park pic this week for Jamie, it was all I took
  12. I love the fishing ones and Roisin's wave creations
  13. love the 2nd shot, stick in the air and Roman and the last 2 of your first post are cool too, and of course pretty girl portrait pose with her sandy nose looks like fun and an awesome beach, pity about the interruption
  14. hey excellent! Love the Shyla walking shot re: your question when you would use a darker exposure, I'm not really sure what your asking? Low-light situation? As far as learning, I found the book "Understanding Exposure" a great read
  15. cool wreck I haven't tried this, but I have a mobile phone app that does it
  16. thanks clover and rnb thanks serena I'm still really enjoying photography, I guess that's the main thing
  17. thanks :D yeh, very happy, I was expecting more after almost 5 years ... she did have a one track mind at work ... work work work ... maybe that or being out of her environment? I visited her place today, and she recognised me straight away, but with a little less enthusiasm It was good just to see her in her home and get lots of cuddles, she's really quite sweet ;) and yes, very impressed my friend caught it on camera kirislin: they were Quarantine Detector Dogs. Ned is probably about 10 years old now. Paige is 8 years old and Lotus was retired early and is about to turn 6 @ 2nd career as dock divers. I reckon Lotus would love that!
  18. great photos!! I love her mischievious expressions and that very wavy collar she has, pretty
  19. thanks yeh tlc, I think it had something to do with the way I asked for the ball? donno really though terra: thanks, considering I had given up any hope of her recognising me I was very happy to see that she finally did

  21. kirislin: very pretty flyingduster: point'n'shoots are underrated with macro I think, I like the little bug tokkie: that 2nd one has an interesting focus, 3D feel ?
