  7. Ah the white bits try having all white Jess did you ever see my thread a while back titled " a very crappy day" Do you do the two of yours together in the dog wash? Parks Vic told me that they now put the 1080 in large blocks of fat so it is less likely to get carried away by the bird and dropped for dogs and other wild life to take. They may have stopped it now but there was a program that ran for a while and they had signs up it was all the way from the end of basin track in to levys beach. Tez, I haven't had a chance to do any training this week with work the first part of the week then the last couple of days getting ready to go away and I still havent packed a stitch of clothing, but the ball rolling is so cool and Im sure my lot will love it. I was actually really wrapped with them all today at the beach, the three younger ones all at different times went to chase the birds and I called them back and they all perfectly recalled without a hint of bucking the system, So I thought that was pretty good.
  8. We usually go to the boat ramp and then go east of the main beach. usually it is great we have been going once a week most of summer but haven't been for the last month so I really got a shock today. We started steering clear of the other end as Parks Vic started to do the 1080 down that way and I was petrified that one of mine would find it. I wonder if you would only need titre results for kepala if you were just using the play area of the place? We went a couple of times last year and they asked for vaccs. Has anyone ever been to dog zone in Richmond??
  9. I guess the trouble with not Vaccinating every year is there is a lot of things you can't do. Say for instance to going to Kepala they need the dogs to be vaccinated. Also like Jess said obedience schools and kennels. We have also been to another indoor dog facitlity in Melb that requires proof of vaccination. So for me I suppose it is just easier to do it each year and be done with it. On another note, my friend said today that the parvo outbreak has been on the radio. Has anyone been to kilarney latley? We went out today and it wasn't real nice, lots of seaweed, the sea really rough and we even saw a dead penguin.
  10. My lot are all C5 vaccinated, I have read up and know about all the studies done about not vaccinating every year but I just can't bring myself not to do it. Funny though my old cat Holly is 18 (19 this year) and she has never had one vaccination in her life. She has only ever been to the vets twice once for desexing and the second time only just a few months back for a check up and she is in good health!! JJ with only vaccinating every second year if you needed to put the dogs into a kennel in between would you have to have the titre testing done? I guess it means for the first year after the Vacc you would be covered, it would only be the second year you would have to worry about?? Tanya, hows your knee now? are you off the crutches yet? Tenties, do you have a moving date yet??
  11. Oh he is cute!! How old do you think he is? What do Oscar and Dude think of him?? Can you do a quick door knock in your area incase he lives nearby? Hope you find who owns him soon.
  12. Ha I found it in the puppy section!!
  13. Hi Guys I was sure the other day there was a thread about Eagle pack and Advance but I have searched and I can't find it. Someone posted the details to contact the Eagle Pack people which is what I'm after. Hope someone can direct me to the thread......unless I dreamt it? What kibble for my oldest boy has been an ongoing nightmare and It is always on my mind he was on Eagle pack but I changed him to Advance when the Eagle Pack was hard to get. But after reading that thread I want to change him back. Just a question if a dog is only eating dry is Eagle Pack one of the best? I do get confused about all the different types so I will email the company for some advice.
  14. Hope little Lottie makes a speedy recovery. Sending healing vibes your way!!
  15. I go to that same clinic and have always found them to be really good and they would definatley say if they have had a case of Parvo in. They have couple of new vets at the moment too. How much at risk are dogs that are vaccinated? If they came into contact with it??
  16. Bubby Charch pics sooooo cute!! What a darling OH you have there, Charch would have been the best present ever!!
  17. I think you should do exactly what you want to do. Don't be influenced by others. No one has the right to make you feel guilty over something that you feel is right for you.
  18. Bec, thats great news!! I can imagine how excited you are. Every year since I have had Cooper (2006) my lot have been on an American x breed calendar and it is a real buzz to think that your shots have been picked out of potentially thousands of shots. Well done, maybe they will have a Canon add on TV? How cool would that be!!
  19. A couple of rest days then short on leash walks only worked for us!!
  20. Hi Tez, it sounds like you have got a good handle on young Janes behaviour. I too noticed with my youngest Bronson that around the 12 month stage he noticed things that he never noticed before, just simple little things like a tree stump that had always been there or a paper bag flapping in the wind etc also a bit more wary of people that were a bit "different" even though he had been very well socialized with lots of different people as a younger pup. I always put it down to the fact that he was always so busy with the other dogs that he didn't take time to notice other things. Even though on occasion I would take him out on his own so he had one on one time with me, he still went through that phase. It is interesting to see how they grow and the different stages they go through to adulthood. Although in saying that I don't think Bronson is ever going to be an adult dog still at 2 he is such a puppy in so much that he does, I don't think he will ever grow up but I wouldn't have it any other way. You might find over the next few months that Jane will calm considerably and go through a few more changes. Take notice of training and I bet she will be more in tune with what you ask of her and more focused on getting it right. I also think it is a bit sad when you realize that they are growing up and the puppy time is gone But sometimes it sneaks up on you and you don't even realize till one day it's like a light bulb goes off and you notice all the little quirky puppy things they did, they just don't do any more!!
  21. Sounds like he may be bored? How much excersics and training do you with him?
  22. Awwww she has such a sweet face, so lovely!! I see little Bow Wow in there as well.
  23. well done to both of you!! How exciting.
