  1. I'd want to see how his tail sits on him when he is standing.
  2. Greyhound: No she does not wear the muzzle because she is aggressive. Yes I feed her an ample amount of food. No she is not a large whippet. No she does not need to run all the time and be exercised.
  3. Hi MM, Can you advise where I could find the details of Blacktown stats for the last financial year 2010 -2011. I am doing some research into animal deaths in Pounds and would be very grateful for these. Cheers Jiggywoo ooops my email address is [email protected] cheers You might want to privately msg her since she hasn't been on DOL since May and this thread is 2 years old.
  4. Wahl get my vote. I would call a #7 or #7F "short" but these do clip very close to the skin so might need an experienced hand.
  5. Its just arousal, I call it "getting the lipstick out" I once had a male desexed rescue dog tie with a bitch on heat and the poor thing, she was just running around with him attached until I could hold her still!
  6. Sorry mate I've just gotten home and won't be able to make it.
  7. I'll be travelling up to Bilpin myself tomorrow at midday, but if I get back to Penrith at a decent hour I can let you know if I can make it. Probably be at sunset though.
  8. No sure sorry, I've not heard of them! There are SOOO many rescue groups out there now
  9. Sweet, who with? They might be a DOLer! ETA: And what T said ^^
  10. I was informed on the night that they were successfully captured and spent the night in ShadesofGrey's large open awaiting transport to Hawkesbury Pound.
  11. Why is that Shmoo? I'm going to follow this up, and really hope he does get treatment and care that he deserves. Anything that is of "Pit Bull type" is being seized and destroyed. I am afraid you are someway misinformed about what has been happening is VIC Shmoo. A very basic example can be found on AAPS Pet Rescue Listings: gorgeous Amstaff Sammy was recently rehomed. Link bellow: http://www.petrescue.com.au/view/161096 Why take the risk?
  12. Sounds a bit suss... the owner received NO paperwork AT ALL regarding this dog? Like dogmad said, the vet info would be a big clue, or as Alison said a chip number to look up if any previous data is stored...
  13. I am sure Narelle from PawsnHooves would appreciate this with her collection of cats  Otherwise Dogmad gives a good option. I am in Glenmore Park and could pick it up :)
  14. I feel that a rescue should price its animals with the goal to break even. Whilst it is not quite right to make a profit on said animals, a reputable rescue would use that profit back into the charity (raising awareness, supporting foster carers, extra advertising etc)
  15. We have to price the dogs at what the market will pay. I agree with what Plan B said, that I think rescue finds a good balance between too much and not enough. ETA: The price of rescue animals has gone up slightly since I started in rescue years ago. Only by about $100 though which is a small price rise compared to the cost of living
  16. Where are the tissues I have something in my eye! Anorexia is another one of those illnesses that most people can't possibly understand, but now you know there are stacks of us behind you and supporting you Can't rush perfection, right? So take time and heal yourself
  17. Why is that Shmoo? I'm going to follow this up, and really hope he does get treatment and care that he deserves. Anything that is of "Pit Bull type" is being seized and destroyed.
  18. I thought GTE were only on Wed too but it's been a long time since I've had anything to do with transporting dogs.
  19. Red Staffy in VIC? Good luck getting help from anywhere and not euthanised.
  20. Smart girl, did it all at once. Kinda like those people that have triplets = instant family.
