  1. Another song for Jed... I was at the concert that this one was taped at... and it still brings up the goosebumps... T.
  2. Listening to "The Rose" right now - belting it out in my best (or worst) voice... and my foster puppy James is staring at me and thumping his tail in time with the music... now I can't sing because I'm looking at him looking at me and I'm starting to cry... *sob* T.
  3. Yay for the little dog wonder... may he have many happy healthy years! T.
  4. Here's a link for us all to listen too - and maybe sing along to... do you think Jed will like it? I found one with the words on it so we can all sing along... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWmbyEN1rQE Crank up your sound and belt it out, OK? T.
  5. ---(=)--- (hands Katdogs a facemask to keep her germs to herself - and passes her a rescue puppy to cuddle on the couch) T.
  6. Well - Google tells me that there are indeed long haired Rottweilers... with pics and all... hmmm... very interesting. T.
  7. A Lab would possibly suit - but they shed like nothing else... *grin* That said, my single coated Rotti/Pittie X sheds quite a bit for a dog with stuff all hair... T.
  8. SBT and ACD?? She was very pretty whatever her mix... T.
  9. ---- ---- ---- (brings in a pile of much newer magazines to read) some improvement... way to go Jed!!! Keep being strong... your friends and family are waiting patiently to hear news like that! May your road to recovery be smooth from here on... OK - so now I need to decide whether I'm going to join in playing Backgammon or Canasta... T.
  10. Thank you for explaining it so well dogmad... T.
  11. Ummmm... "shambles" describes my setup... lol! I have doggy toys all over the house and yard. Leads and collars are in the computer room. Treats are in the computer room too. Medical supplies are in the bathroom and in the kitchen. Dry food is in tubs in kitchen and laundry... and raw food is in fridge and freezer. Spare bedding for crates is in a basket on top of the dryer. I really need to clean up and get organised, but the dogs seem to cope just fine... lol! T.
  12. Maybe ask your local vet what the obligations are for your queries... better still, ring a few vets and ask... T.
  13. My heart dog was a Rottie girl named Woosie - the most beautiful girl on the planet. Everyone who met her wanted to take her home. She went to the Bridge in 2004. I still cry when thinking about her... *sob* T.
  14. @_____________________________@ @_______________________________@ @______________________________@ (rolls in a few more really big couches to accommodate the growing crowd... and their furfriends...) Waiting patiently every day for a good update on Jed's recovery... I'm thinking we'll all hear the roar of happy shouts when she's awake and has the tube out... Thinking of you and yours daily Jed... come back to us in your own time, OK? T.
  15. So their entire male dog "likes" humping other male dogs... funnily enuff, that don't make him "gay" - but something else entirely - and it's not a good thing... I agree with giving them Wendy's contact number - she'll definitely set them straight... *grin* T.
  16. Still no setbacks... doing well Jed... Still missing you terribly. T.
  17. Thanks Steve... Chi Chi is so cute in her fancy jacket... T.
  18. Happy Birthday Julie... hope you have great day and that your birthday wishes come true... T.
  19. I agree with casowner... well said... T.
  20. If I have a suitably large foster dog and my rescue group coordinator agrees - call on me anytime, OK? My permanent girls are just under the 30kg mark and though desexed now, have each had one litter in the past... so they might not be suitable... T.
  21. I hope someone is printing those photos for Jed to look at when she's up to it... I'm sure she'll be happier then, knowing that her surviving furkids are getting so much love and attention while they wait for her to come back to them... Thank you so much for posting the pics Steve... another Chi Chi fan here who's loving her new coated look... *grin* T.
  22. Hang on... is she being done by regs in the "Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act [2006]"? If so, what month in 2006 did that Act become law? She may get very lucky and have beaten it by a month or two?? Seriously, they can't backdate laws/regs to suit their own purposes this far down the track... Worth a looky Steve! T.
  23. I have a 7.5 month old desexed male Dane cross foster rescue pup here... last weigh-in about 3 weeks ago he was 28kg (and has grown since then). I would have to clear it with the rescue organisation I foster for, but he may fit the bill for a one off blood donation if he's deemed suitable and types correctly... He's a little shy, but if I'm allowed to sit with him for the donation process, he will be fine and calm... he's a big mummy's boy... *sigh* T.
  24. Still checking regularly for updates... missing Jed terribly, as this place isn't the same without her here... T.
