We had a boxer in rescue a while back that kept damaging his tail, and the vets had to remove only the damaged part under the anti-docking laws here... 4 times!! Please tell me how repeated surgeries to fix his tail was more "humane" than if that dog had been docked shortly after birth? In the end his tail was the same length as if he'd been docked young, and the vet had to write a letter saying why he had such a short tail in order to satisfy any authority asking questions about it... *sigh* T.

How To Tell If Chicken Mince Is Off?

When you have 12 growing foster pups, 3 adult dogs, and 2 foxes to feed, it can be very expensive to make the most ethical choices PossumCorner... T. -
They are 5 week old puppies... let them eat what they want to I say... if you don't put out enough, then someone may not be getting their full share... I've raised literally hundreds of foster puppies for rescue, and my general rule is to put out much more food than they need in order to make sure that everyone gets their fair share... until they are old enough to eat from individual bowls separately anyways. If you notice any pups overdoing it, simply remove them so that the others can get their share too. Never just plonk the food down and walk away - feeding young pups needs to be supervised. T.

How about this one then? Steggles (Baiada), 13-15 Amax Ave, Girraween, 9842 1137 I'm further from Shanes Park than you, but I find it's worth the drive for a quality product in bulk... *grin* T. -
I checked with my friend... apparently many of them had been shot... *sigh* The colony roost is near a school and some fast food outlets, so the locals have decided to try to get rid of them themselves... grrr! Seeing as bats are protected, anyone found to have done this will be prosecuted... T.

juice - have you tried Supreme Pet Foods at Shanes Park? https://www.facebook.com/supremepetfood/ They have 10kg bags of various quality chicken mince for the cheapest price I've found anywhere... and they do 15kg necks or wings really cheap too. My dogs, foster pups, and foxes love their chicken from Supreme, and it's always fresh. T. -

I'd take the dog straight to the vet... could have something lodged up there, which would be quite stressful for the dog, don't you think? T.

A persistent dog can get the lid off and/or knock the Dingo bin over... I had a foster puppy do it to mine just the other week... granted, the bin was only about 1/3 full at the time... *grin* T.

Took delivery of this cutie on Wednesday... his name is Bear and he's mostly Dingo... Very shy and timid, but not a nasty bone in his body. Prefers to be inside rather than outside... slowly learning that he's not supposed to poop on the couch... lol! Ain't he purty? T.

Licking/chewing at feet can also be a sign of stress or anxiety... usually only lick/chew the front feet though... Does the problem affect all 4 feet? Does he also get red or itch on his tummy? T.

Looking For A Big Strong Wading/shell Pool

Just thinking... maybe your lovely hubby could design a permanent pool for the doggies? With proper draining for easy cleaning... I'm sure he could do it... T.
