Terra did yours get fixed under warranty?
-
Is yours the 1.4 or 1.8? if it's the 1.4 it's got a pretty bad strike rate even amongst us DOLers ;) If mine breaks down again I'd switch to Sigma. In answer to your question, so far no, fingers crossed it stays that way. All these faulty Canon 1.4's has shaken my confidence in them though.

Yep, cloudy, rainy and we're still going ahead, I've just finished wrapping my camera and lens in glad wrap, It's supposed to be weather sealed but I'd like to play it safe. I hope the weather doesn't frighten anyone off. I'll post pics (if I get any) later today, or tomorrow.

You can create your own. http://uk.pedigree.com/dentastix-denture-y...?mId=39171181.2 not allowed to use the word apple, apparently too rude, so I had to make it a watermelon. http://uk.pedigree.com/dentastix-denture-y...?mId=39171432.2

that's so funny putting a harness on a bird. Does he try to fly, if he did he'd look like one of those toy aeroplanes on a string zooooooming around.
-
thanks. ;) it's even more rewarding for them cause they bred him.

Oh, I meant to say, remember I mentioned the security bloke who bailed me up last week, well he did it again this time but I'd already got the ok to take pics. I happened to ask him how tall he was, the answer 7ft 2inches

I've never got real good close ups with mine but it's lovely for just walking around.

Last night was the final of the heat he placed 2nd in last week. And guess what???? He won!!!!!!!! He jumped well from box 2 and quickly got his position on the rail. took the lead, which was lucky cause on the bend they all bunched up and a few got into bother, not Texem though. He got well clear in the back straight and by the home turn it was all Texem!! Up the home straight, not another dog in sight, Texem has his first win, blitzing the field by 12.5 lengths!! Very difficult conditions to take pics under as no flash is allowed and I tried 3200 ISO on some test shots on the first race and they were awful so I dropped it down to 2000 and had to slow my shutter to 1/500. I'm not thrilled with the pics but I am thrilled for my friends that he won.

He's very cute! I love parrots but I've just had a nasty surprise this last hour. I came home to find someone had killed a cocky, and Tag was in the process of eating the last of it. Apparently the head and feet aren't worth eating. the rest is gone, even most of the feathers. RIP poor cocky. I can only hope it was a sickly one.

I happened to speak to Nick Caley this evening, he was very disappointed, apparently the McGrath Foundation has been copping alot of flack about this from AR groups overseas today. It's a pity, it will raise alot of money for their cause but I wonder if they'll do it again next year.

The first one is my fave. Good on you for getting to know your camera. How about going back tomorrow if the weather is fine and trying for a similar shot to the first one, composition wise and get rid of the bag on the ground, so it's just the man and his dog sharing a moment. Maybe even try yourself to get lower and with a more shallow depth of field. You'd have a real winner there.

Oooooh noice, they're beautiful photos Bec, that helps. price isn't so bad really either.
-
;) too rich for me, mine were $160 for a 1000, double sided, colour one side B&W the other and glossy.
-
show us, and what do they cost. I don't need business cards but I am curious. I've got some double sided ones I had done locally years ago for my leatherwork and drawing and I love them.

They sure can! Desexed dogs have tied with bitches before. Yep, you betcha they can, I've seen it happen, the male dogs owner was so proud of him too! as to your friends dogs condition it can be dangerous, they can loose circulation. A dog I bred sometimes does it too and his owner has had to take him to the vet once when she just couldn't help him. If it keeps on being a problem I think they can operate to enlarge the sheath opening.

someone asked this just recently, yes alot of us pay for it, I think my renewal must be due soon and I will keep it going.

These photos tell the story of a dog that is much loved. Makes me want to cry knowing what he's got now.

We Met Our First Italian Greyhound Yesterday
Kirislin replied to Michelleva's topic in General Dog Discussion
some of them are very outgoing. Beautiful little dogs. -
Never thought I'd think fly photos are beautiful but that first one sure is.
-
awww little Bob, throw him a towel.

I didn't want to hijack your thread but it looks like it has white spots on it and they might not be exactly the same as "my" fly but it could be related. Pay attention next time you see a fly cause I think they might be a bit unusual.

CC it's cute when a meerkat does it :D there's some gorgeous pics here, I love the meditating Genghis cat and Snooks that pics is so sharp and full of fun. Here's some of mine, all taken yesterday. The simple, and decadent pleasure of sharing coffee and ultra yummy cake with a friend. just in case you didn't see it properly the first time. and of course including a whippet in there, this is Pennys simple pleasure, cream and custard mmmmmmmmm! Watching clouds is always good too.

Hey, was there anything unsual about that fly, looking at it again it doesn't look like a normal house fly, I'm wondering if it might be one like this, of which I've only ever seen 2 before. If it's not the same it might be a similar species, I think I can see patterning on your little victim. If so it might be a tachinid fly.
