  1. I'm going to have to try out this Fairbairn Park, sounds awesome. Add me on Facebook if you have it, will be easier to organise a doggy meet up! Plus we know who we are looking for! Whoever wants to meet up, just add me but let me know your username, because i dont add randoms. http://www.facebook.com/linda.infantino
  2. Sorry guys, everyone disagrees with me about the CKCS and shedding! LOL. I honestly don't think my boy sheds that much, but it could be because I compare it to my ragdoll cat which is basically a fur making machine.
  3. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel fits the bill perfectly! Not active at all, does need a brush every week though but doesn't malt much and just a cuddly loving dog who wants to be with you 24/7. Same with my French Bulldog, although some are more active, mine is not really active. She also doesn't shed and snuggles into my lap. They both dont have a 'small dog' attitude, but I would say that has more to do with socialising your dog from when it is young.
  4. Pretty Miss Emma - thanks for all those park recommendations, I'm going to have to check them out too!
  5. Hey, I'm really close to you, Im in Greenvale which is prob 10 -15 mins away? I use the Greenvale vet which is close for me, but for a Vet that is really good try Fawkner Vet Clinic on Sydney Road. (opposite the Fawkner cemetry entrance). Ask for Dr Tony, people from all around Victoria go to see him, he has a really good reputation and lovely man. Plus because they are not in an expensive area, the prices are really really good! As for socialising, I would be able to come and meet up with you, I have 2 lovely dogs that love playing with new doggy friends! What is your dogs name and breed? A Sheltie? Have you heard of Kepala? Its about a 40 min drive from us, but there is a DOL meet there every month and its in a secure enclosed area with lots of friendly dogs and people, have a look in the DOL Events section.
  6. Arnie is the best!!! ;-)

  9. He is so beautiful! More pics please, could never get bored. Is he for showing?
  10. My cousin who owns a large crossbreed has just recommended Robert Mcdowells products for me. Her dog is about 9 years old and suddenly was not eating, lethargic and looked miserable. She took him to the Vet and they did full bloodwork. Test results came back as really high calcium levels and white blood cells - high or low - I cant remember the exact results she told me. The Vet told her the dog had Lymphoma Cancer and didn't think he had long. She took him home and googled for cancer treatments for dogs, finding Robert McDowells website. They are located in Sydney so she gave them a call and told them her results and the dogs symptoms. She said they were so helpful on the phone, knew exactly what they were talking about, didnt push her or expect her to buy any products after talking on the phone for 20 mins. They also provided advice on his diet, they recommend all raw and natural. She was currently feeding him cooked pasta meals/raw meaty bones and I think some dry food but not sure which brand. She immediatly cut out everything except raw meaty bones, now she makes up her own BARF mix, adds the herbal drops they mixed up for her dog, with other vitamins and herbs they recommended. The next few days he was picking up and was back to normal so the next week or so she took her dog back to the Vet for a check up. He told her that he wasnt expecting to see him alive!! Did some more bloodwork and the whiteblood count was back to normal, calcium lower but still needed to go down some more. Other than that he was all good and acting his normal self. I just thought I would share this story, for any other owners out there, if you have tried everything, it may just be worth a shot. The website is http://www.herbal-treatments.net/ I have just rang and spoke to Kate, for my own girl, Lola. She has some skin issues going on and she recommended a few things for me too, should be here in a few days so will be good to see how they affect her. I am getting the Blood Cleansing Yeast Skin Allergie Blend, Millet & Linseed Crushed mix and she also suggested Vit K tabs while making sure she gets plenty of sunlight daily to keep her Vit D levels healthy, which I make sure she does anyway. I already feed mostly barf anyway, so I will be cutting out all dry food now too. Anyone else had experiences with this company?

  12. He is so beautiful! Put up some more pics when you can. I like Angus too!
  13. I have also been seeing more and more loose dogs. Yesterday was unbelievable, I was driving down a main street and there was a Pomerainian who is always out, I see him every few weeks. Well he was mounted onto another small dog, they were going for it like anything. Then people wonder how their dog gets pregnant 'accidentally'.
  14. Surely if you love your cat that much to spend that amount of money on a collar for when they go roaming at night, you would just keep them indoors at night???!! I think too many things can go wrong, I wouldnt get one.
  15. I'm so upset, this month and last month I have worked the sundays. GRRRR. I get home at 1pm, by the time I get ready and drive there, its all over. :-( Have fun everyone!
