  1. I have a Liberty stand dryer which I use for the Persians and the dogs. I love it! It has good force behind the air plus heat on the high setting and the low setting is great for finishing them off. It is also easy to adjust and swivel around with a directional nozle.
  2. I have a Liberty stand dryer for drying Persian cats and love it. I have never had it serviced in the 9+ years I have had it
  3. Delta Cortef is the trade name for Prednisolone which is a cortisone. There is heaps of info on the internet about but just found this quickly for you: http://www.petplace.com/drug-library/predn...lone/page1.aspx
  4. I don't know about that breed and what happens to the coat when it is clipped so hopefully others can help you with that. Are you on the south or north side of Wollongong. I have used Impeccable Pets at Woonona and been very happy with them - cost was about $40 but that was last year so may be more now. Also mine was for a Poodle trim. Best thing to do is to ring them and ask them.

    Angus

I am very sorry to read this news Danois. My thoughts are with you at this sad time. RIP Angus, no more pain
  6. I have a Cav the same - drives me insane when she starts jumping around and barking. She has to sit quietly for her dinner but she is trembling the whole time I used to have a storage bin for their dry food with a clip on type lid - they got into that one day and ate so much they looked like barrels themselves and could hardly walk! Now I have screw top container! So I don't think it is the quantity, I just think they love food! On the positive side, she is very easy to train when you are holding a treat.
  7. I have no idea what is wrong with your cat, I can only tell you about my experience. When my cat was coughing, tests revealed she had Lymphoma.
  8. My cattle dog was four YEARS old before he lifted his leg to wee
  9. If you go to the Pet Plan website you can download the terms and conditions.
  10. Don't let her drink too much - small amounts often and not cold water either. If you can get some Lectade it is excellent for keeping her hydrated.
  11. Perhaps her feet have been wet and she has a fungal infection. Malaseb is always a good thing to try for a few days to see if there is any relief. If not, off to the vets!
  12. I have been doing a bit of phoning around this morning and the static pulse collars are illegal in NSW, however, debarking isn't if it is done according to prescribed circumstances. More info on debarking here: http://www.vpb.nsw.gov.au/Boardtalk/2002/d...mber2002_10.htm Puggles you may find that the poor Pug is responding to all the heartache and anguish in the household and a change of scenery may settle him down. My heart goes out to the family and to the dog.
  13. I've been told that these types of collars are illegal in NSW now. Previously you needed a vet's "prescription" - before the legislation was changed. Anyone now what the update on the legislation is as I can't find anything?
  14. I have just started giving my dogs the Purina Sensitive Systems Formula and it has made the ACD's poops sloppy. The two little dogs are fine on it but obviously he isn't!
  15. I clip a couple of my old Persians regularly. I use a number 7 blade so it gives a little length and then just taper it off at the top of the leg. To try to clip a cat's legs is to risk your life :D
  16. It could be KC but unlikely the dogs got it from the boarding kennel with that time frame. Or it could be from barking themselves hoarse while they were boarded
  17. That is fantastic news Dru! Now tell us about the dog on trial
  18. Love his ears That is a lovely photo and a great keepsake for you at this time.
  19. You have written a lovely tribute to a lovely dog. RIP Cougar, run fast and free
  20. Oh Dru, it never rains . . . You are having a rough time at the moment. I hope it is nothing serious.
  21. A cup of dry food a day is way too much! My lactating mums with 6 kittens would only just manage to eat that! Cut it in half and see how she goes.
  22. I had a cat that had her eye removed and it wasn't packed. Did your vet say why he did that? Mine came home on pain relief with a nice clean wound and continued on as normal
  23. I am so sorry to hear that Pippa has gone. Thank you Dogmad for giving her a lovely end to her life. RIP Pippa
  24. Thank you TKS for making Mr Gilbert's last years happy ones and thank you to Jacq for rescuing him. I remember when he first came out of the pound and I can't believe it has been over 3 years. From your photos we were able to watch him blossom and I came to love that wonky grin. Rest easy little fellow
