    Supa Poopa

Mine poo on the concrete if the grass is a bit long, moreso this time of year as the grass is wet in the mornings.
  2. One of carers is raving about the F10 products for getting rid of ringworm. She said the cream only ook a few days to kill the spot and the disinfectant was fantastic for the clean up. From the website: It is non-corrosive, non-toxic, non-irritating and aldehyde free so has no adverse effects on people, animals, equipment or surfaces. More info here: http://www.f10biocare.co.uk/products1.html PS Also great for killing parvo virus.
  3. Big hugs to you Dogmad. I love the photo of the old girl sitting with the chewed up tissue box (wonder who did that)! RIP girl, run fast and free
  4. I'm so sorry to hear this news. RIP Wonder, run fast and free
  5. Awww very cute. I love the little black and white one with the split face colouring. One of my dogs barked and the other started crying at the background noise

    Daisy

Two lost so close together Hugs to you and Mr R. RIP Daisy and keep those sheep in line at the Bridge.
  7. What a lovely way for Thomas to pass, in the lap of someone who loved him. RIP Thomas, run fast and free at the Bridge.
  8. Have had ear mites quite a few times with foster dogs and have used Revolution or FrontLine Top Spot with great success each time. One application and they are gone. You will also need to clean the debris out of their ears.
  9. What a beautiful tribute to a lovely dog. RIP Jess, run fast and free.
  10. I have nothing to add constructive but want to say how sorry I am for you, your husband and Nala. Sending big hugs
  11. Put a baby gate across the door. The cat will jump over and it will keep the puppy out (if he's not too small).
  12. A lovely tribute to a couple that look like real characters. RIP Conchita and James - run fast and free.
  13. I am pretty sure she said it cost her $3 a day for the medication so it sounds like you are getting a good deal.
  14. I have a colleague whose dog has been on this medication for over 3 years. When he was first put on it he was expected to live 6 months at the most. 3 years later he is still with us so my colleague refers to it as a miracle drug.
  15. Thank you Warley and Xcel for giving Sarah a happy and loved ending to her life. Run fast and free Sarah
  16. Hehh, heeh, I know. I actually did have a bit of a time clipping Oscar. I think I should have cut the long fur with scissors first??? then tried the clippers. Don't know. This was his first ever clipping. The cat fur is very dense so you will have to keep going over it to tidy it up. Mind you mine look pretty tragic sometimes too - I just tell them it is 2 weeks between a bad haircut and good one
  17. Sorry Becky but Oscar looks pretty tragic Did you find the dogs much easier than the cat to get even? The dogs look great
  18. I'm from Victoria, so double check me - but I think what you've "recently heard" is a cross-wired interpretation of NSW law. My understanding is that it is illegal to import them (without a permit), but that restricted use is permitted? Here in Victoria, you need to have the 'ok' from a Vet (as far as I can see, nothing in the legislation dictates that the Vet must grant permission in writing) AND the collar must be used under the supervision of and/or under instruction by a qualified dog trainer. I'm not 100% how this compares with NSW???? I heard the recent change from Innotek so I would presume it is right but would love to know if they are wrong
  19. I was recently told that it is now illegal to use them in NSW even with a vet's certificate, however, it is still perfectly legal to use an electric containment system
  20. This one is not a collar,it is a box to put in the area, and is supposed to be effective for multiple dogs. I hope it works
  21. I have just ordered a stop barking box thingy I will let you know if it works or not. My problem is the neighbour's dog barks whenever someone is near our joint fence which sets mine off. I am hoping this will stop the other dog barking as well as, unfortunately, the owners never try to stop their dog from barking. Here is a link to what I have ordered. PetSafe also makes a similar one and is seen on Ebay quite often. http://www.gooddeals.com/shopexd.asp_Q_id_E_244
  22. Check with your vet but I am pretty sure you can use Revolution or Advantage on her when she is 6 weeks old.
  23. I wonder if she has clipper burn or a reaction to a shampoo or something? What did the vet say when he saw her?
  24. I have been told by a couple of vets that there is no need to heartworm test a dog under 6 months old. I have also been told by the same vets that the annual heartworm injection and the monthly tablets are used to treat mild cases of heartworm.
