Why Do My Photos Look Over Sharpened?
jemappelle replied to jemappelle's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
Thanks everyone I thought I had changed the resolution back to the max with the "fine" option but it is still set on the lowest (640 x 480) - must not have executed the command properly! I had the sharpness set to normal so will have a play with that tomorrow with the higher resolution. Maybe I should have bought a simpler camera! I need to put aside a few straight days where I just take photos, fiddle with settings and compare. Maybe I will get a chance over the weekend. Thanks again! -
I have a new point and shoot camera (Ricoh Caplio R7) and the photos all look like they have been over-sharpened and I haven't done any editing on them. I have been right through the book and looked at all the settings and can't find anything. Does anyone have any ideas? Here is a photo to give an example.

It's only 20 minutes down the road from where I live so why don't you move down here? -

I took this one today on my new point and shoot camera that I am still trying to figure out! It is looking south from the boat ramp at Gerringong, NSW south coast. I also took this Pelican that was about 50' away using the zoom function. (I'm posting two today because I didn't get around to taking any yesterday!) -
Mine think they are a treat ;)

This is my photo for yesterday. I changed the resolution of the photos (to the lowest) and am not as happy with the quality. This is Ted, taken in the shade on portrait mode. -

Late starter here! I have a new Ricoh Caplio R7 point and shoot camera. I took this one on 1/1/09 with the macro setting (that's about as technical as I get). PS: Lea made me post -
Little Waxy Droplets On Rump/tail
jemappelle replied to CBL's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Oh that is interesting that it is hard to get. As it was my first ever kitten and was about 17 years ago the information that I read said that the eggs would be all through the house so I went on a massive cleaning frenzy -

Ewwwww! My very first kitten had tapeworms Now for the good news, seeing that you have wormed all the dogs you and hubby need to be wormed as well! I would also worm the dogs again in 2 weeks to be sure they are gone! -
Itchy Dog Advice. I Need Some Help Please.

Obviously she is allergic to the good life! I second the Megaderm and good luck with her. -

With most spray collars it is the refills that determine what type they are. I have a Jet Care one which came with a pressurised cold spray, however, I have been unable to get the refills so have also used the Citronella refills. I have to say that I hate the smell of the Citronella! So if someone can lend you a Citronella collar Trisven go for it and use the other types of refills (the other is lemon I think). Oh, nearly forgot, when you have multiple dogs the spray collar will go off regardless of which dark barks! My poor Cav girl would run a mile (she wore it) when the cattle dog barked!

Oh Kirty, I am so so sorry. RIP Millie, run fast and free

Ignore Clyde, I know this pup is mine

1/2 a cup of dry food a day is a lot for a little old dog. Quite a few years ago I used to feed my old 20 kg dog 1 cup of special dietary dry and that maintained her slightly overweight weight!

Dog Dryers - Reccomendations?
jemappelle replied to BittyMooPeeb's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Me too! I would love one of their cage dryers for maintenance grooming! I have to say I was disappointed in the lack of air flow with the Beacon when I was at your place Clyde. A cat breeder friend raves about hers but the other day she casually said, oh I use my hair dryer at the same time as well I am glad that I got to see one before I bought it so saved my money! Yes the Liberty is a bit noisy, like the Simpson, but I have a silencer on mine so not too bad. The cats don't seem to mind it, which is the main thing. -
RIP Buzzy. You were way to young to be taken from those you loved.
