Esky the husky

If you're free this weekend clover there's a really big race sort of near you ( near shepparton) You (and anyone else interested) should come along

We had some film crews out at the first races of the season, putting together a little segment about the sport I love so much. Look look Esky and I got featured- in fact I'm in there a few times.. And yes I did just roll out of bed :laugh:

Well done indeed! Looks like you're all having a really good time. So cool that you got two races in one weekend and won heaps of food. Ours was 2 heats over the weekend, not sure on the results, I was sitting in 9th or 10th out of 13 last night. I left before presentation though so didn't hear full results You soo have to add one of these sledding shots to your signature. God you've got such a talented dog

Woohoo!! Congratulations :D How many were in your class? Bikejoring is so small here in SA. We didn't even have any run it this race :/ We finally got to race, tracks had to be shortened this morning for heat 2 as the temps + humidity weren't ideal.

Racing this weekend. Wooo! Getting my gear organised for camping :/ Not sure I like the camping aspect, not until I get a camper trailer :laugh: Still not sure if I'm doing bikejoring or scootering though. Talk about leaving the decision to the last minute

Cut the weetbix and milk. You could always put the tinned food into a kong so he has to work for his food a bit. :)

Yes, as the dog isn't actually starting the pull which is the hardest bit. But it give you a chance to enforce and reward the pulling behaviour rather than just removing a dog when it has 'failed'. Speaking of failing that was us on the weekend. We didn't even qualify as she didn't pull Here she is after the cart got started

Depends, it really comes down to what your dog will eat and what he does well on. I feed my siberian husky Earthborn Holistic grainfree, around 80g and around 300g of meat per night. She is a racing sled dog and that is more than enough food that she's actually gained some weight, whilst in race training :)

They do go through stages when they look all kinds of ugly, gangly and skinny. Maybe add some meat into his diet

I am super paranoid like you. My girl is naked at home ( coated breed) but for walkies we use a greyhound box/track lead. It's apollo strapping, solid as anything and it's all one unit. leash and collar attached so no worrying about the snap coming undone. And I reckon I got change from $30 when I bought it

Haven't yet, I'll have to do dew claws soon though
