  1. I would like one for Esky, but it seems like overkill for just 1 dog. (or myabe I just can't afford one )
  2. Wow, great excercise! Is it attached to her the same way a cart would be?
  3. Oh well in that case we can manage it. As long as Esky isn't being a tart I should probably join dogs sa now I spose :p
  4. I swear it won't be the easy part for us We've been doing short biking adventures since she was old enough to do so. And last year we did much longer adventures. It sounds manageble though. 'continues to work on heeling'
  5. I want to do it with Esky. It's going to be interesting conditioning the difference between racing and et running. I'm a little bit worried about the willingness test bit though. Is that something I can get up to scratch in 6 months. She's obedient enough but it's the one bit I'm worried about
  6. Esky was on raw before- but I had comments from a breeder that she was overweight and that I should feed a mix of kibble and raw. It so happened that that weekend I won more than 20kg of a really good brand of dry food. So I've been feeding since then. Now I'm down to my last container and I'll be switching back to raw. But I'm super super super paranoid about making it balanced so that I can show my research etc to whoever decides to question me about her diet.
  7. Well I haven't had any problems with allergies with Esky so I might give them a try. They have to be ordered in bulk though so she darn well better like them
  8. Poms are tiny dogs anyway. I'm not sure why you would want anything much smaller *shrug* ETA: I don't think you are allowed to post links like that. Just a heads up before someone reports you for that
  9. Aww Winston is like a cute little alien
  10. Esky LOVES roo. As soon as she gets a sniff of it she's already drooling. Has anyone fed beef necks before, are they ok, or too tough?
  11. What about adding a new dog into the family. Is that something people overthink as well?
  12. Interesting I felt like I was failing Esky big time when I was a member of an american forum following all the advice. I was so so paranoid, I wish I had played more games with her and fully understood crate training. I was around for so much of Esky's puppy hood- she had a lot of changes and copes pretty well. I've gone from no job to full time out of the house to working from home and she's hasn't batted an eyelid
  13. You're a champ Augustine Approved. Honestly if I spent as much time analysing and worried about my own diet as I did Esky's I'd be the healthiest person ever I didn't realise you had your own pet food business until I clicked on your profile. If you have a business you would be able to use the same supplier I have if you wanted too I wish you weren't over in Vic, I'd love to try your food out.
  14. Oh thanks for the heads up, glad I started this thread
  15. Ooh they had a camel roll in there, I want to go nuts on the stuff, but I probably shouldn't introduce a heap of new protein sources all at once. Sorry Augustine Approved , but it's a catering supply company that deals with my OH's business- he runs a cafe'. Unfortunately they don't deal direct to public, so I'll be ordering everything into the cafe and going from there. The perks of OH's job Is all game meat fairly lean- I wouldn't feed straight kangaroo as it is very very lean, and I've been led to believe that dogs need a decent amount of fat in their diets. What about crocodile? I wonder if Esky will like that. I'm guessing if this food has all been deemed fit for human consumption it'll be fine for dogs?
  16. I've got a great new supplier to get a lot of our family's food from. Whilst going through the catalouges I noticed all kinds of game meat, all human grade, that I thought might be a nice addition to Esky's diet. I'm wondering if there are any types of game meat that pose a problem to dogs, or are they all fairly safe?
  17. Maybe see if you can (or maybe ask nicely in the photo section) fix up the eyes and blur out some of the background from picture 1. I like that one better, but it would look nicer with a little bit of editing
  18. I'm pretty concerned about the willingness test too
  19. Sibe  Samoyed Tamaskan (although they aren't recognised yet) Aussie Borzoi
  20. Esky is moving between the vents of the air con. I would not like to have so much coat on a day like today!
  21. Most agents would have a copy of the application form on their websites. I prefill them out before going to inspections and if I like the place I can hand it straight to the agent. ;)
  22. We had success, it only took us 8 days to find a suitable house and get all the paper work signed Thank god because we didn't have long to get out of the other place (long story ) Both my pets had resumes (cat and dog) and Esky's had copies of her registration, the certificates from the dog club and a some brief information about the breed and what I do with Esky. It wasn't too hard, but getting your first rental can be very challenging. Good luck :D
