  1. Oh how did I miss these before?! Totally adorable and just gorgeous Ozstar
  2. Totally! I had 4 back in the UK, 2 cresties, a cocker and a greyhound - that added up to a whole heap of crazy at times  For the past few years we had just the 2 cresties, but the crazy has returned with the addition of Poppy recently :D
  3. You should always continue to feed the puppy whatever is being fed and recommended by the breeder initially while he settles in. If you want to transfer to raw after a while, maybe look at something like the Vets All Natural complete puppy mix that you soak and add to raw meat/offal for a complete diet, plus some additional raw meaty bones. http://www.vetsallnatural.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=71&Itemid=85 Congrats on the new puppy!
  4. So it's as I feared from the looks of it, another breed being bred for the blue fashion
  5. $69 each - We went with these guys, but Mills Charters also do trips out of Hilarys :) http://www.oceaniccruises.com.au/whalewatching.aspx
  6. If you google "blue british bulldogs australia" the place she is getting it from comes up as the first result......
  7. I noticed someone getting a blue British Bulldog on a local fb page recently. Just got me wondering if blue was an accepted colour for British Bulldogs, or it this the latest breed to get hammered with the 'blue' fad?
  8. Looks like it was a great day :) It would have been fun to go on one of the paddles steamers!
  9. Thanks WeiB :) It was about 20kms offshore - I think the lens compression makes the mainland seem closer. It would have to be a millpond to spot anything from shore I think as the slightest swell would obscure the whales. The season lasts till late November, I'm itching to go out again already
  10. Those are really lovely Pers :) What's the story behind it, is it an annual sheep shearing event?
  11. Beautiful sunrise shots! Kings Park has such fantastic views over Perth and the rivers :)
  12. Thanks guys :) The weather was perfect, a bit of a swell but little wind, so made for a great show!
  13. We went out whale watching this morning out of Fremantle port as it's the start of the Humpback migration season. The conditions were perfect and we were fortunate to have several sighting and lots of activity, with tail and fin slapping and breaching from mothers and calves - it was a fantastic trip :D A few pics - some aren't the best of focus, but I was just happy to catch breaching! 14. We are hand slipping, I remembered those collars from years ago when I did hare coursing back in the UK. Really just looking for an excuse to buy another 'gadget' Thanks for the fb link - I'll see if they will accept me as a non-Iggy owner :)
  15. Those are great coursing shots, love seeing the Iggys run :) Our lure coursing club has said from next year that dogs will need to run 'naked' with no harnesses or collars. Kirislin, with your coursing experience I wondered if you knew of anywhere that sells lure coursing 'slip' collars but in a teeny size? Poppy is about the size of an Iggy. Like this. http://www.blackdogtrading.co.uk/product-info.php?hare_coursing_slip_lead-pid233.html Cheers :)
  16. What an amazing experience and gorgeous photos too!
  17. Those are gorgeous Pers, the pink blossom in particular is so pretty!
  18. Oh poor Nova, he looks so fed up  I have the Ezydog one and don't recall the straps getting in the way of anything on him. We just got them while the dogs were getting use to the pool, they are both capable swimmers now but just hate getting wet! Here he is ably demonstrating the life jacket  Click image for video....
  19. You're in Freo, home of the Dockers who play an AFL match today I think. Their colours are purple so you will see a lot of it around today ???? They painted the cafe strip purple last year too.
  20. Fabulous, thanks Gruf :) I'll definitely use the plastic guard on these new ones as the blades look very fine - I don't want to take her skin off! Many years ago in my past life as a horse groom, I used to clip horses so have some familiarity with clippers - but it's been a while :)
  21. The clippers have arrived Gruf :) The funniest thing is I had them sent to work and the girls on reception had to open the box as it was buzzing! I managed to clip her face last week just with the beard trimmers, not the best job in the world but not too bad for a first attempt. I also did her body :) Can I ask a question Gruf? She gets a bit of a red rash after clipping which soon settles down with a bit of aloe gel - it that because I'm clipping too close, the clippers are too hot or just a reaction that some dogs get? Before.... After....
  22. Haha, thanks Snook - Louis really is my heart dog, but Poppy is just the epitome of 'so stinkin' cute' :D
  23. Cottesloe? The beach and seafront look very familiar :) I want that wombat!
