  1. Hi Sueang - did you see my reply to your previous post?
  2. Great video Yonjuro! You can tell Tigger is keeping his speed in check and keeps looking back to see if Ronin is keeping up with him
  3. Looks like Ronin and Tigger have a great friendship, love the photos of them! How adorable is baby Nova with his friend Louis thinks greyhounds make the best buddies, they even give up most of their bed for you
  4. Hope you don't mind a mini hijack Kirislin....This is not my photo, but I don't think Charlie's mum will mind :)
  5. She is just so beautiful and that is an awesome shot of her running full stretch!! I'm now an honorary member of the WA Iggy club, so have had the chance to meet lots of them recently. Poppy has an Iggy boyfriend who she meets for sunset strolls on the beach :D
  6. Cheers Spoony :) Canetoad - Amazing to see all the eagles, they really are huge! I like this one in particular :)
  7. Lovely shots, hope it helps the rescues get placed - Hamish is an interesting mix!
  8. Gorgeous shots again Spoony and what a wonderful experience!
  9. They were in the trees for a while and I just managed to get some shots as they took off - this one swooped down low and over my head, but not quite head on :)
  10. Found a few birds today....... :)
  11. Wow, looks like you had an amazing time! Love the Brahminy Kites, such beautiful birds, and amazing to see the Macaques swimming! You got some super photos to remember the trip by :)
  12. Poppy munched down a small chunk of semi frozen raw green tripe and a frozen sardine tonight - boy that combination smelt delightful!
  13. You should come along Trina, it is always such a fun day. The boxer gang did so well with their fancy dress at the last meet :D The next meet is members only and the last one of the year before the summer break, but keep an eye out on their website and fb page for the start of next year's season. http://www.wcds.com.au/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/242717789174231/
  14. I remembered this link that I saw posted elsewhere recently - a useful guide for vitamin and mineral sources. http://www.dogsnaturallymagazine.com/raw-diets-for-dogs-getting-enough-vitamins-and-minerals/
  15. Yes I saw this today too, very exciting indeed :) Unfortunately non Sighthounds apart from Rhodesian Ridgebacks and Basenjis can't compete for Lure Coursing Titles, but they can obtain Coursing Ability titles. eta link to the rules http://www.qldsighthoundassociation.com/lure-coursing-rules-and-regulations-proposed.html I'd encourage anyone to have a go, it's a great fun sport and certainly in our club in WA all breeds are welcome and have a great time :) This is Poppy and Chewy running as a pair at our most recent meet.
  16. Thanks everyone :) So it sounds like I needn't worry too much. I'll give the fish a go and would like to get some egg into her too, I might try it on it's own and see how she does.....
  17. Sueang - would slippery elm be of any use? Maybe try some slippery elm powder mixed in with some goat/sheep yoghurt just before bed? I used a 'slippery elm cocktail' when Louis was on a lot of drugs last year for a particular illness. http://community.dog.com/health/diseases_az/f/29482/p/90432/915667.aspx
  18. Good idea about the fish - she has tinned sardines in tomato sauce occasionally, but I think she would like to chomp a frozen sardine. Luckily she seems to like the liver/kidney, I thought she wouldn't take to offal but she ate it right up! I think she's just a little obligate carnivore
  19. Thanks Lasareina :) This is when she gets fussy when things get wet/mushy  I even made little round balls of the Big Dog barf mix for her but she just pushes it around! Her chunky mix is damp enough to hold the health booster quite well, just adding a tiny bit at the moment so it doesn't put her off. Fussy dogs are such hard work! I have read that veg isn't necessary, she's growing and has plenty of energy so I guess she's doing ok - I just want to check that I'm not missing some vital component. She also has goat tendons/bully sticks/dried mussels etc. as treats.
  20. I have raw fed for years, but always added a small bit of veg/pumpkin etc. as well. Turns out little Miss Poppy is a fussy feeder, which I've never had before - it's so unusual to have a dog that doesn't clear its bowl quickly  She doesn't seem to like 'mushy' food and turns her nose up at the Big Dog barf patties and similar, but does eat 'chunky' meat, although still not with any great gusto but will eat a good amount of it at least. As soon as I add anything like pumpkin/sweet potato/veg/VAN complete mix she turns her nose up. She loves her RMBs and will happily chow down a chicken wing/neck/lamb flaps. So does anyone have experience of feeding just meat. Her current mix contains small chunks of lamb/beef/roo plus lamb liver/kidneys and heart. She will eat this all up eventually and I add a chicken neck to this most nights too. She will have a chicken wing/lamb ribs once or twice a week. She is 10 months old now and weighs nearly 5kg, almost double her weight from when we got her 5 months ago - so I guess she is eating enough but I would like her to fill out a bit more. She has definitely got fussier over the past couple of months. I probably haven't helped and maybe pandering to her fussiness a bit I try the 'tough love' approach and give her the same food and nothing else, but after a couple of days of her not really eating anything I cave. She's too small to not eat anything for more than a couple of days. I got some of this last week and will add this to her meat as well -Vet's All Natural Health Booster. http://www.vetsallnatural.com.au/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=eny_fly_default.tpl&product_id=30&category_id=11&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=124 Photo from a week ago to show her size - she's the one on the left. All advice welcome :)
  21. Lovely shots and what a tongue!! Hard to get a black dog exposed against the bright light at the beach too.
  22. Ok, that is pretty damn adorable!! Look forward to lots of photos of her :D
  23. Awww he looks so sad  Very dapper :)
  24. I have to give a big thumbs up to Loyalty Pet Treats, I got an order from them recently and the quality was superb Their bully sticks last so much longer than the pet superstore type ones, and smell so much nicer! I also got some of their dried green lip mussels which again smelt so nice and fresh, the dogs go crazy for them :) I'll get some of the fish chews with my next order.
  25. My Poppy (10 months old) gets dreadfully car sick too, it's so miserable to see She has marginally improved with lots of short trips to the beach, but long trips have her drooling and looking so sad. On the last two longer trips (45mins) I have used this product and have to say she seems to have coped a lot better, much less vomit and drool :) I never feed anything if I know she's going to be travelling over the following few hours too. http://www.naturalanimalsolutions.com.au/TravelEze.html Good luck, as someone who also suffered badly from it as a child, I remember how miserable it is!
