  1. That is one special move there by Sid  **Disclaimer** I did not take those photos, they were taken at a lure coursing event by Diana Andersen of Animal Images This is another one by her of the Popster :)
  2. That's a fantastic sequence Kirislin and demonstrates it beautifully :) Thanks everyone for your input :) This is why I was curious, I still see it mentioned e.g. if there is a photo of a sighthound in this gait as 'an lovely example of the sighthound suspended gallop' yes but one look at him and we can see he's part sighthound.
  3. Is Poppy showing a 'Double Suspension Gallop' here? Just curious as I know it's a sighthound trait, but wondered how common it is in other breeds?
  4. Looks like Mr Fox might have got a look in too! Very cute :D
  5. Awwww, poor tuckered out little poppet - good luck with the demodex treatment :)
  6. Oh isn't he just so cute! Another bundle of mischief in your household
  7. Haha, Gruf always looks like he's enjoying life to the full! :D
  8. Just seen this So sorry for your loss ness RIP Ness, you were obviously a very special and well loved dog
  9. How wonderful of you to give him a home for the end of his days Look forward to hearing how he goes. On another note there has been a serious lack of photos of the gorgeous Maya
  10. Poppy says thanks everyone :D You didn't exactly discourage me from holding onto her :p
  11. My little Poppy is one year old today She has brought us so much joy and laughter since we got her back in June as a scrawny, teeny, little gumtree 'rescue'. She has given Daisy a new lease of life by having someone to charge around on the beach with, and Louis (who can't really go out much these days), a playmate indoors to have mad crestie zoomies with :) Happy Birthday Munchkin - you were neither planned or expected, but I'm glad you ended up in our home The day we got her. And some recent pics.
  12. No experience in dogs, but I had a cat with it a several years ago - I was surprised how suddenly it occurred! Have you had any chest x-rays done?
  13. Awwww Happy Gotcha Day Didi It's been great to watch her grow over the past year and to see you being such a mature, responsible, dog owner :)
  14. Haha, watch this space :) Thanks DDD, they are a fun bunch !
  15. And a couple of videos from last night..... End of crestie spam :D
  16. Enjoying a brew :) Beach fun. And her heart on her back
  17. Time for an update. Poppy continues to be a gorgeous little munkin and takes everything in her stride We had a bit of a scare a few weeks ago with an anaphylactic reaction to a bee sting, but apart from that she is doing great and enjoying life. She will be a year old on Monday :) This is Charlie - her Iggy boyfriend With big bro Louis. With big sis Daisy. With Ruby Roo her other buddy.
  18. My little Poppy went into anaphylactic shock a few weeks back after a bee sting. No hives or swelling, but went very flat and with grey gums and tongue - it was scary! I shoved an antihistamine down her throat and off to the emergency vet, as of course it was a Sunday. After steroids and more antihistamines she picked right up and was back to normal a few hours later. We've since seen a dermatologist about desensitisation and she advised putting ice around the sting area and flick/scrap the sting out to help avoid any further venom going in. At the moment we have chosen not to go down the desensitisation path, but we now have an epipen for her and will be very vigilant with bees! Glad Herbert is ok and if it's any consolation my vet said coming out in hives is far preferable to the 'going flat' reaction :)
  19. Good news lorello :) Just be aware of the side effects of the steroids, you will see an increase in thirst and needing to pee frequently. I was up a few times each night with Louis over the first couple of weeks to let him out to pee.
