  1. Thanks for that silentchild - I've recently joined a Chinese Crested facebook page, I'm not sure how long I'll last on there due to the amount of uneducated people either breeding or looking to buy cheap 'pet' quality pups That chart will come in very handy :)
  2. Another happy VAN feeder here :) I feed the puppy version to Poppy mixed with mutton or 'kennel mince' (http://www.petsmeatsuppliers.com.au/products.php?id=22) and the adult version to the other two mixed with roo. I also feed Big Dog BARF patties and separate bones - chicken wings and necks, roo tails and lamb flaps. They are all doing great on it, can't vouch for soft long flowing coats  but their general health is great and good poop all round :)
  3. And these two were taken by the very talented Diana Anderson from Animal Images Photography at a recent lure coursing event :)
  4. Updating with some recent phone snaps :) Look at those ears! I finally got round to clipping Poppy's face, she was a bit of a fidget but not too bad :)
  5. You've got a lovely shot of an Osprey there Spoony :)
  6. Very nice! looks like you're nailing the action shots with the X-T1 :)
  7. Beautiful Ozstar! Love the second one especially :)
  8. I've certainly seen some fantastic shots with mirrorless cameras, so looking forward to playing with one. Thanks also Dave but I think I'd like to stick with an interchangeable lens system.
  9. Thanks Spoony, very useful - I'd be interested in your X-T1 vs a6000 canine shoot out results :) I'm looking for something for small, light and easy to take to the beach for dogs walks. I'll still have my 7D for other stuff, but as this is just for snap shots/video I'm not expecting the same quality/performance as from my 7D. Thanks huga, I'll check that one out too. I might be after the impossible anyway as I'm tying to catch this little monster
  10. You should have bitten the owner if you wanted to bite someone, rather than traumatise the poodle further. I have to agree - not really an appropriate way to deal with the situation
  11. Four incisors removed, but kept his canines so his tongue stays in his mouth for now  He luckily has very good teeth for a hairless.
  12. Oh they are gorgeous! Love Pepper's mohawk :D I haven't got them yet - Louis had a $900 dental last week so Poppy's shaggy face can wait a little while :)
  13. Lovely Pers, that first one is so pretty :)
  14. Thanks guys :) It is a fun lens to have Spoony!
  15. Good shots of Dixie T, I like the one of her upside down catching her bait :) This was a Whistling Kite I got a few months back when out looking for Ospreys. And some from the same location recently.... Australian Pied Oystercatcher with what appears to be a deformed bill. Little Egret (I think). I've posted these elsewhere before, but these are my favourite ones so far this year :) Carnaby's Black-Cockatoo. Willie Wagtail.
  16. Thanks Snook, that video was very useful. The Panasonic looks good in those tests, but think I'm probably looking at a sub $1000 budget as it's more for 'happy snaps' - I'll do some research into the Sony a6000.......
  17. I think the lag with a P&S would annoy me after the DSLR - how is it with your XT-1? Do you have a view finder as I think a LCD display would be tricky in bright sunshine at the beach?
  18. I'm looking for a smaller/lighter camera than my DSLR to take to the beach to get pics of the dogs and also some short videos. I guess I would like a decent zoom functionality as Poppy is tiny and runs very fast  Hit me with your suggestions :D
  19. Good to see you back and with a fantastic set of photos :D Keep them coming! Love these two in particular :)
  20. Even 600mm isn't enough sometimes  Super shots, love the colours in the 3rd one :) Spoony - nice in flight shots, I don't know how those birds ever take off they are like jumbo jets!
  21. Kirislin that sequence shot is fantastic! $5 is cheap in my view.
  22. Gorgeous! I love the second one with your son and Sid looking up, and also the 'beach combing' one :)
  23. I think we need a video :) For me with Louis it's his eyes - he just looks at me and stares deeply into my eyes with what seems like so much love and such a strong bond
  24. I think this is exactly my problem too  The older two scoff their food down instantly, but Poppy seems a very fussy eater, barely eating one day but then clearing her bowl the next. However I'm beginning to realise that it may just be because she isn't hungry enough. I need to get used to feeding her smaller amounts and not worrying if she doesn't clear it all. She was so scrawny when we first got her, but she has filled out nicely now, so just need to level off the food I think. Cute pics DD :)
  25. lol miss2, your guys really know how to get cosy, so cute :D I turned back the duvet the other day and revealed this
