  1. True, very true when they reward you with so much love 3 more sleeps till sofa snuggles here too I forgot the most expensive purchase, not just for the dogs, but they were certainly a priority when choosing - a new car, a Hyundai ix35 Got to wait 6 weeks for it and I'm soooo not good at waiting :D We'll all have to slum it in the rental cat till then
  2. I love the second picture, beautiful shot The 'bug' made me smile
  3. Adorable Hope the next 3 weeks fly by for you
  4. Don't worry you'll be sick of my crestie pics soon I buy waaay to much for the pooches - I seem to buy sale stuff for myself, but when it comes to them why do they always seem to end up with the most expensive option
  5. I had a 'working type' cocker with the most fantastic laid back temperament - he could happily sleep all day long at home, but could also go all day long once out in the forest. However I have also known of a lot of cockers that are not like this and they needed a lot more companionship and interaction during they day. Good luck in your search
  6. Ravyk, that slimey algae looks very green White Do these all fit the theme?
  7. Green Posted recently in the main photo thread but thought it fitted here too There is a saying in parts of the UK 'You're not as green as you are cabbage looking'
  8. Yup my cocker spaniel loved them too, he would give them a good crunch and spend his time over them
  9. Hi Sylvenus, I remember seeing a little toy poodle the other day Mine's the noisy one I wish I could offer to take Strauss out while I'm there, but unfortunately with a cat to see as well as the dogs it's a struggle fitting mine in during the allotted hour I can't believe they won't take him out, all that time when visitors aren't there, surly someone could get him out for a bit of fresh air Only 4 more sleeps till I can get mine out Did a shopping trip yesterday as we couldn't bring beds, litter tray, scratching posts, chews, toys bowls etc......$650 in total :p I'm sorry but I have to say things are sooooo expensive here - a litter tray that costs £39 in the UK was $119 here, about £70! So now I have all the beds lined up at home, just waiting to be filled :D Happy Birthday to you both Buster and RubyStar
  10. Gorgeous Atticus has such a smoochy face and so much skin to grow into! I love the second pic
  11. lol, yup that the sketch I had in mind
  12. With regards to using a muzzle to prevent poop eating - it doesn't work! All you end up with is still one happy greyhound with cat poo breath but also a stinky muzzle to clean
  13. lol they know how to test you don't they Daisy only pees quickly when it's raining.....usually she'll spend ages sniffing around for the PERFECT spot
  14. Ah ok, hope he has a good 'holiday' If it's any consolation I know our two barely gave us a second thought once they got to their new homes - settled and happy very quickly....we were the only miserable ones
  15. I WISH it was mine I managed to visit a garden I had always wanted to a few weeks ago back in the UK, just before moving over here. It was so beautiful, even the veg garden was stunning http://www.greatdixter.co.uk/gardens/g_longborder.htm
  16. I'm sorry valleyCBR I don't know the story behind this, but having rehomed two of my beloved pooches before moving over here, I know just how hard it is I realise that Byford is a quarantine station and not a luxury kennel, but the constant dampness in the kennels is surely not good for any dog and being kicked out of the exercise area when no one has booked it after you is just mean - it's the only chance the dogs get to get a bit of sun on their back and to be in a dry environment this time of year :D
  17. Ok not quite pure green, but the overall greenness of this reminded me of the 'Blackadder' sketch As my pooches are locked away in quarantine until next week and I'm not getting any pics of them, I thought I'd post a cabbage pic instead :D
  18. awwwww indeed and I can confirm he is just a gorgeous in the flesh :D You did very well to get a clip without my noisy little sod's squealing barks in the background ;) One week tomorrow and my babies are released from prison They have had enough now and so have we, Louis in particular is going stir crazy - not surprising on 1 and 1/2 hours exercise a week! Can't wait to get them home for snuggles We have an expensive shopping trip this weekend as we need to get dog beds, cat bed, cat climbing frame, litter tray, toys etc They are going to be so spoilt on release
  19. Congratulations Ptolomy Looking forward to getting a sneak preview of your new boy at Byford
  20. lol, not overwhelmed too much, just totally confused as to who was who, and which dogs were whos Lovely photo's Rach, and great to meet you all and your gorgeous gang of dogs Hopefully the next meet I'll be able to bring my two little terrors as well
  21. awww what a lovely snuggly pile My 2 are too precious about their personal space to share although there may be hope.....when I visited them in quarantine yesterday they were actually on the same bed together and touching each other without grumbling There was one occasion when I caught them all on the sofa together......not much snuggling going on though
  22. If it's still ok I hope to come along and meet you all tomorrow? Just arrived in Perth a week ago, but have a trusty sat nav so should be able to find it ok. My lot are still in quarantine but would love the chance for some doggie cuddles and to find some good walking places for when my 2 are released
  23. I need some time to loose weight and get fit enough to do justice to snorkling with these amazing creatures - so hopefully this time nest year I'll have got my lardy arse in slightly better shape and then I'll take you up on that offer, cheers
  24. Do you know the names of any of the rescue places please? We'd definitely be interested in having a look! Off to google them now :D The major UK rescues are The Dogs Trust and RSPCA, but a quick google showed lots of Staffie specific ones. I just remember a couple of years back when looking for a rescue that 80% of dogs at most rescue centres were Staffies.
