  1. lol I know We are very fortunate that OH's company is paying a fair amount of the rent and we are willing to 'top it up' to get a decent place. Trouble is my OH is also very fussy We like Mount Lawley a lot, but we are off to have a second look at a couple of places in Como and Cottesloe this afternoon. Having been home-owners for the past 10 years it's a pain to have to rent again, and deal with landlords who want loads of cash for doing very little in return - but that's the property business I guess Something will turn up I guess, we may have to sacrifice a pool, but we need somewhere by october so starting to sweat a bit now
  2. As I've put up a few pics of the dogs, I thought it was about time Indy got her own thread She is the most adorable cat, but also a complete PITA at times She has that special meow that only oriental cats have and boy does she put it to good use We love her dearly though and wouldn't be without her She was the cutest kitten All grown up
  3. Anywhere in the inner suburbs from Mosman Park to Mount Lawley NOR and a similar stretch on the other side. I can very excited indeed, and if anything like me then I had butterflies in my tummy too Hope he's doing well Ptolomy Cheers amypie , I'm trawling the sites everyday...went to see somewhere in Nedlands yesterday that they want $1000 p/w for and the ceiling in the bathroom was literally black with mold
  4. Makes you wonder what happens to the 'traded-in' dog

  9. :D Hope all the introductions go well for Strauss - Enjoy having him home :D :D The Corgis are just Thanks for the socialisation offers, I'll give him a bit of time with the training and then I'll take the willing victims volunteers up on their offer :D So fed up of house hunting for a rental and being showing shabby houses that they expect shed loads of $$$'s for Anyone know anyone in the real estate business round Perth
  10. Thanks Ravyk, it certainly looks like that maybe the one :D The variation within a single species is amazing! Say bye bye spidey - I don't like killing things
  11. Uh oh, should I nuke it then :D Concerned for the cat more than anything..... Thank you I just got a close as I dared with my Lumix and then cropped it. Thanks for the link too I think jumping spiders are so cute though ;)
  12. Well we had our training session with Kathy Kopellis McLeod this morning and it went very well indeed, so thanks for the recommendation everyone :D She says it is fear related, and to keep him away from off-leash areas for now whilst I work on calming him down around other dogs. He was actually ok with her big husky she brought along, but we came across a std poodle while out and he reacted more typically towards that, which was good as she gave me pointers for helping him. I'll take him along to her 'reactive rover' classes and should hopefully start to see some improvements with him soon. She said he was actually a well mannered dog over all, just scared when dogs get in his face. Be warned - I may be on the look out for willing people and calm dogs to help socialise him too
  13. Too many cute puppy pics :D Here's mine - my Fargo, the only one I had from a pup.
  14. Having just moved here, I'm trying not to be the paranoid pom and nuke every spider I see I know this isn't a red back, but is it one to be concerned about :D It's very shy and runs back into it's lair every time I get close, so I don't think it's gonna rip my jugular out anytime soon I'm curious to know what it is, so thanks for any info

  19. What time does it get dark here in the summer then Your right it's not far from me at all Had the car today so went down there and had a lovely walk with the dogs. There were some weird noises from the lake area, which I assume were frogs Once Louis is a bit more settled I want to take him to some obedience classes, but will need to start with basic ones and would like to progress to having a try at agility, as the tiny bit we've tried he really enjoyed - it this Canine Association a good place to go for beginners? or can you recommend anywhere else? Ptolomy - 3 more sleeps Hope they go quickly for you :p
  20. Poor Banshee - sorry to hear she is still going through medical problems No experience with this I'm afraid, but hope you get it resolved soon btw haven't seen many pics of your lot recently ;)
