Just read it and it makes sense . I'm waiting for carpet cleaner to pop around and give me a quote so will check the chemicals . I was also going to get the couch covers dry cleaned so will check what they use too . Her bed came from the states and it's too big to get in a machine to wash so need that steam cleaning too as I have sprayed the foam freshener on it as it said you could on label .

Yes D I have stopped using them . I am also putting her outside again during the day , although she is very unimpressed , as it all seemed to start after I lost Ozz and let her inside 24/7. She is still on antibiotics . 7 weeks in and last week we weaned her off the Pred and left 5 free days where the green snot just got worse and since Friday she has been on Metacam aswell with no impovement . the specialist is not back from hols till weds , so hoping we catch up then . I have also ordered an air purifier for the house . My thoughts on homeopathic medicine is , allergies are the immune system going into overdrive , the meds she is on surpresses it , we want to regulate it not suppress it so it works as it should and natural remedies seem to do that . I am having the carpets cleaned , although I only have 2 rugs in the lounge , and the rest of the house is vinyl anyway .

Funnily enough I was looking into a show line or a pup and they are not that easy to find . A pup appeared on gumtree the other day and was gone by the afternoon , it was blue or I would have jumped at it . there is a Vizla on there looking for a home .

Even if it did go underground you wouldn't have the mass wastage you have now . And getting criminals involved ...... Well where do they get the drugs from now they pump into the dogs ? I'm sure plenty have criminal contacts already . -
I'd like to try some natural remedies for Zelda's issues with her runny nose etc rather than all the meds being pumped into her atm which seem to be having little effect and don't actually address the issue. I have been doing lots of reading up on homeopathic ingredients and it seems it maybe the way forward. So far i have emailed a few herbalists and they have come back with a massive list of products i should buy from them , so before i jump i thought i would ask if anyone had any recommendations for the Sydney area? I'm also looking at an air purifier .

And another training caught doping his dog. But of course he is innocent, and only gets a suspension, so someone else in his family will probably enter dogs and it really doesn't effect him. Keep digging that hole. -

They will use any means they can to make money, drugging them up seems to be common practice too. And they have the gaul to appear on tv doing the woe is me and my industry, trying to tell us the 150 dogs they have on their property are not killed or shipped overseas to die, so where do they all go then? While members of the same family stand there looking innocent when they have been banned for drugging dogs. They are fooling no one, 4 corners will get them again, and hopefully someone with more balls than Mike Baird will ban it for good instead of being bullied into backflipping. -
Oops , didn't see the townhouse bit . My mum is 70 and is healthier than me , so depends on the person .

What about a beagle ? Meduim size , robust , sturdy . Will happily spend ages with its nose to ground in offlead park .

You can't control live baiting because it's done on private property where no one see's . The industry is full of thugs and our government has no balls . -
I'm not saying one wouldn't work , I've just seen a lot of Byb ones who do .

I'm not sure i would recommend a staffy for a dog park, they get overstimulated very fast. there is an 8 year old black lab looking for a new home on gumtree.
-
i didn't buy decent beds till mine stopped trashing them! i used the hessian covered foam and came home many times to them all over the garden! yay for big goofy foster pups! just dont get anything too expensive yet is all i would say.
-
I wouldn't suggest any sighthound for a dog park with small fluffies. I did wonder about a Cav too. But if they like labs why not see if there are any older ones looking for homes in Lab rescue?, i have seen a few older ones on Gumtree lately aswell.

These pups were already covered by a tarp ready to be left overnight in a metal shed still reading 44 degrees ! Pups are in small cages , out the front of the stall and spend allday getting poked and prodded through the wire crate by people . They are normally manky wormy looking pups . And we found pups perfectly well before puppy farms . -
Were they ? He wouldn't hold the scruffy male for me , sold him when I said Zelda was not well ,there were only 2 black scruffy girls left the last time the ad was on gumtree , and the ad is gone so thought they had gone . But i want a male , so too late now . Zelda improving as we wean off Pred and 5 weeks into antibiotics . Just wish he would have held the pup for another week till she had all the tests and I knew wether it was something sinister , but not meant to be I suppose .
-
yes was me, found the perfect pup a few weeks ago but had to back out as Zelda needed sorting health out first.

Its actually been 9 years! can't believe it. i use chlorine watered down and slosh it over , nothing else gets rid of the smell, i have tried disenfectant, vineger etc And no idea what i pressed by mistake to get this quote box and cant get rid of it!
-
Yes , I think I might try s soft one .
-
yes Delta, crate too hot to touch to get her in. i think keeping the car cool when its parked seems the answer, i bought a car sun visor yesterday and its over the top of the crate now.

I did lots of research, checked back on the old thread, and it seems PIA comes out as the best for more cover. However after reading reviews it seems if you didn't insure the dog , or aquire it till it was older they want full vet history and then baulk at paying out claims. I have asked them if they want the history on sign up so i know up front what they are going to refuse, or they wait till you make a claim and are already committed to them before they use this as an excuse not to pay, which looks like the way they do it from the reviews, which is a worry. Will see what response i get from them.
