Perfect size would be no bigger than a grey , smaller is fine too . A scruffy greyhound but slightly heavier without being a box head , a gentle boy who perhaps won't hunt . The ones i like atm a litter in West Wyalong, but think its in the middle of no where, they have 3 male pups left and one is really turning my head.

Alot of people don't call them by their real name, English, and Roman nose often gets thrown into the mix, good breeders call them by their real name. The one i have now is exactly what i have been after for a long time,( not the one in my signature ), good lines, good movement, rock solid temp and the must have clown personality, she comes from a breeder whose dogs i had seen alot of and never a bad one, it turned out her dad was a dog i saw regularly at the funday which i was even happier about. I have had very unhealthy ones since coming to Aus,when i lived in the UK , never had any with health issues.

Average price for a bully is between $1500 to $2000. A lot use imported semen to get the English bloodlines . Pm who it is if you like . I have had several from different breeders .

Smaller dogs have a longer survival rate apparantley , over 20kg much less , we were lucky Ozz got an extra 5 months .

And if they need meds i still have almost full new bottles of ozzies, i bought a fresh supply a few days before we lost him, and they are not cheap!

Ozz had heart failure in the end, not sure its the same as this, he had grade 3 for a long time that jumped to a 5 , he lived for 5 months after that on meds. He was 11. I can recommend Rappie, she treated Ozz and works at the vet at the AWL at kemps creek, so straight down the motorway from the mountains.she only works a few days so you need to book her. pm her?

I took Zelda to the river yesterday for the first time, one side is a beach. Full of families and kids swimming and playing, not offlead, i put zelda on a long line in case she wanted a swim. Two ladies further down the beach had 4 dogs , all off lead throwing balls into the water. We decided to go the other side of them away from the families, so walked back up onto the footpath as i didn't want to walk straight past 4 offlead dogs so close. The owners saw us way back, did nothing, kelpie came charging up the hill at zelda barking with hackles up, owner said " he's friendly" , i stood in front of Zelda who was cowering and trying to get away screamed at dog to "f%ck off!" and threw a kick at it, it backed off, owner then couldn't catch it, meanwhile second dog , old ,huge male cattle had ambled up the beach to us by now , but luckily was just sniffing around her and she play bowed to him . The other two dogs were fine, one was a tiny cattle pup the other didn't move from other ladies side. How hard would it have been to have grabbed them by the collar as we went past? We moved to the end of the beach and Zelda had a great time on the long line zooming around the sand and bouncing in and out of the water. Later another guy walked past with his dog offlead, straight through all the familes , and some of the kids were scared. when we walked back along the beach to the car the other dogs had gone and i kept her close as we went past kids , i had lots of comments of what a lovely dog she was. why do dog owners have to be such dicks, i did the right thing, my dog had a great time and i didn't annoy anyone either. And i can confirm , Lynx is pretty powereful, teenage son here who uses it!

i am gobsmacked people are paying between 5-7k ( i saw one for 9k yesterday, rare colour), for such an unhealthy breed.

Yes scruffy looking sighthound is what i would like, perfection would be brindle :) Blacktown pound is my local one, always full of matted looking malts and staffys and amstaffs, not alot else.There are alot of good rescues who pull the little fluffies from there, Jane has taken alot of the old duffers.

I had another look on their FB page but it doesn't show any dogs available just a phone number . It also said I'd hunting offends you it's not the place for you . It's does , so not sure how to get round that one . If you spot any pups or young males can you give me a shout ? Funnily enough the Armidale pups got relisted again , although he seems to sell a lot of dogs .????

Thanks maddy, i did spot them a while ago , but bit squemish when i saw some of the hunting pics. i might shoot them a message to see if they come across something too soft to hunt. are they near enough to you for you to check anything out? And yes, they are the sort i am looking for rather than the bully mix.

And how would you control the " we want a litter or two because our dog is so cute" ? offspring dumped at pounds later brigade.
