  1. Brilliant news! The walking does need someone strong, and willing to work hard on her over exuburant behavoir which looks a bit intimidating. Wonder if its anyone i know!
  2. Apart from the white which i noticed too, she does look very much like the young pup. i love how polite she is laying by the door not sure about going in, such a sweetie.
  3. I assume as its such a good petshop they don't make any money from the sale of the pups ;) Wake up, its business, it makes money out of selling animals, but if it makes you feel better, go for it.
  4. Brilliant!!!!!! how happy does she look. Wonder how long before she will be having a swim in the pool too
  5. I agree with the last posts, an older dog suddenly digging sounds like it needs more looking into. I walk my dally for over an hour offlead twice a day ,everyday, and he is 12! You are also assuming as you dog is fussy about which dogs he likes, that a pup will grow to be submissive around him, not so, especailly a female, if she grows up to be the dominant one how will he go? He sounds like he just wants more of your attention, and giving it to the new pup may fuel the fire more. You need to think about wether this pup is right for all of you before she gets past her cute sellable stage, and just becomes another pound stat.
  6. I think he is lovely clipped ,and looks about 10 yrs younger!
  7. Looking overcast here, praying it chucks it down with rain allnight to stop the local fireworks
  8. I am dreading tonight, mine have got worse since 2 years ago neighbours 2 doors up let fireworks off, our blocks are so close it sounded like it was in the next room! Since then my dally gets really stressed, he paces, pants, and barks at every bang. We have loads going off in this suburb Last year i got valuim, and ended up giving him the double dose, it had ne effect at all. will be putting the tv on loud and hopeing for the best, just want to go to bed early as i am sick, but no chance with a big dog barking downstairs.
  9. Can't wait to see how she goes tommorrow, she sure is moving up in the world going to the north shore, i am a bit jealous
  10. Well done team Ellie!!!!! Persistance has paid off, what a great start to a new year being let off that rope.
  11. Too late by then, think of the dogs and get them out If they were by me, i would go for you, i am good and blagging
  12. i agree, if they are free just pretend you want to adopt them, can't be that bothered where they go, and may get on her wrong side if you say you are rescue. ;)
  13. I see an old guy walking 2 whippys, he has a big stick, when they see another dog they go off, and he hits them with the stick I try to avoid him so his dogs don't go off at mine and get a beating. I have seen a guy the last 2 evenings i have never seen before with a huge gsd on a long piece of rusty chain who carries a huge peice of wood with him too, not sure if its to hit his dog or anything that comes close to his.
  14. Good luck today, i would show them the pics with Jack, as it shows her relaxed, which sometimes at the start she isn't ,she is just keen to get off the rope I have to work today and tommorrow or would come with you. Fingers crossed it all goes ok.
  15. Some great pics there, showing how sweet she is. The last one just so sad, her tied up on a concrete path again.
  16. I just looked at Ocean Paws too, looks lovely, but i can't see any undercover area's outside for the dogs. Would have gone myself, but my lot live outside, so need somewhere covered. Its also a bit confusing, as it says its an 8 min walk to beach, but also says path from house leads straight onto sand?
  17. I agree about 'Brown Trout" , i got one this year and its the worst collection of BT's i have seen. Luckily my mum sent me a UK one for xmas which has gorgoues looking BT's in ( avonside calender)
  18. Pm 'RAPPIE". she is a vet, she may give you an idea. I have some dermotic here which is for ear infections, but i am probably a hike away from you, and you need to know what it is first.
  19. Your cattle dogs are lovely, are they related?
  20. my BT and cattle sleep outside, kennels, beds etc. My dally sleeps inside in his bed in the dining room, he is old and needs some peace away from the other 2. During the day they have access to the garage too, so the couch is the best spot
