It kinda irkes me when people say my puppy does this and this and this when infact they're just being lured and not in anyway proofed....there's not rush people, nothing to prove to anyone, enjoy your puppy.

As horrible as it sounds I reccomend you send this pup back.
-
With the barking, I would end all interaction with him, I'd just walk away and ignore him for 5 minutes. With the biting, there are a number of different methods, you'll just need to find one that works and that you're comfortable with.
-
Is your pup actually proofed in all those commands i.e. will she do it in differentt environments and under distractions? If not, that's what I would be working on before adding more tricks.

No experience either with dogs but I use it for myself as I have severe osteo and rhumatoid arthritis in pretty much every joint in my body from my jaw to my toes.I have been on it a long time and yes it has some side effects but so far I've been lucky. It has given me a new life free from pain,so if it can do that for my dog I would use it. My 4.5 year old Dane has Osteo and Cortisone is a life save for this as well as the primary problem of skin allergies as to why he's on it in the first place. He needs a dose of Tramal that exceeds the highest dose reccomended to control his Osteo discomfort so the Costisone definately helps us there!

My dog has been on Cortisone for 4 years, I'd like for him not to be on it but it's either that or put him to sleep due to quality of life. He's on dose that isn't messing with him too much so he should be good for some years to come. I think we pretty much accept a shorter life span but accept it because of quality of life. He does have thin skin and muscle wastage.

Calling A New Puppy The Same Name As A Dog That Has Passed Away.
sas replied to Baileys mum's topic in General Dog Discussion
Meh, maybe it brings them comfort. I like certain names and would use them again however my only concern for 'me' is that there is a set of expectations/history that comes with a name and that could be passed onto the new dog, mind you we do that regardless of a name anyway sometimes. -
I guess all dogs react differently tho Of course they do, I'm simply putting my experience out there. The are a million in one things that effect the coat, something as simple as not giving the ratio of Omega 6 & 9 is one of them.

I signed up but missed it, where is the recorded one available for viewing?

I use the 'Gotcha Game' to have a puppy to allow handling including teeth checking without any stress. Here's a video of my puppy doing a session and accepting teeth checking, eye drops, cream on her nose etc: Stackers are a good way to start out if you don't have any show training classes near you: http://showstackers.com/ There's also a wide range of books and DVD's out there to help out the novice: http://www.cherrybrook.com/index.cfm/a/catalog.catshow/catid/68/cname/Conformation_and_Judging

Great Danes not only were Boar Hunters but also pulled men off horses and were called 'War dogs'. Most are Gentle Giants today.

OK, so we'll take our enormous population of Staffordshire Bull Terriers and destroy the lot then shall we? If they all had unprovoked attacks on humans/animals then yes....they don't so no.

I find it interesting that people say it's not common in Australia, is that because not many people have done the MRI to actually know because it's very expensive? Without the MRI you can't say it's rare, it's like saying a dogs Hips & Elbows are perfect without having them scored.

My dog has been on Cortisone most of his life and his Black Patches do not turn brown because of Cortisone.

Oh I don't know, perhaps a dog that can breath easier and free whelp might be a good idea yeah?

I think those papers only come in Wheetbix boxes.

Why Do A Lot Of Ppl Feel It's Ok For Pet Shops To Sell .....
sas replied to Chezy's topic in General Dog Discussion
Average Joe Blow thinks you go to the pet store to get pets, they don't really understand about Breeders......Joe Citizen would probably laugh at the thought of a Pedigree Bunny Breeder. But to answer your question I don't think people on a large scale have empathy for rates, mice and so forth like they do for Dogs and Cats.......probably would if they saw them being mass produced in horrible conditions but until then.... -
No but that's only because I don't like to share my ice cream! LOL
-
Na, not them

More like this...

mmmmmmmm oh I don't know, I'm not sure that's the image I have in my head, but kinda close! I'd have to see it from another angle, I'll Google the name! Edited, just googled, na not them.
