Yep, if people are desperate they will do it, so the uglier the watermark the better!

Check out the rescue sub-forum on here - sometimes there are re-homing dogs, and non-urgent rescues. Not all rescues are from pounds or shelters that are full of dumped dogs. And sometimes they have puppies or younger dogs. There are heaps of people on this forum that work in rescue, so hang around, browse the threads (check out the breed-specific threads of breeds you're interested in too, to learn more info on them), and get to know people -
I'm not a fan of the dog in the middle of the watermark, but the stronger colour and easier to read details are much better You also have to think that sometimes people might share your images, regardless of the watermark, so random strangers might see them and you still want them to be able to track you down.

Plus you can't make out your email address very well, if anything this should be a feature point of the watermark.

Seriously? Rescues actually have age limitations That's insane, especially as I wouldn't trust a large number of under 25's I know to own a dog due to lack of responsiblity (I make myself sound so old, yet I'm not much older than 25 myself lol) As for isses, buying a puppy you have no idea what it will grow up to be, or what behavourioual/training/medical issues it may end up with. At least with a rescue you know what you're getting. And not all rescue dogs have issues. But I understand wanting a puppy and not a rescue dog, as I have two pug puppies myself. They aren't related, both are from different breeders, and I got them at different times. The first one was around 9 or 10 months old when the second one (who was around 4 months old) came home and I had always planned to get two, it just depended on when the breeder of puppy #2 had the litter as to when he came along! As puppy #1 was already toilet trained when puppy #2 came, she sort of showed him the ropes in that department. She showed him how a lot of things were done (good and bad ) and they both get one-on-one time with me, as well as together time with me. It's double trouble, but also double rewarding. -

Maybe think of a rescue dog, if you're wanting to get out and about with it immediatly? -
Have you looked around at professional photographers and what they do with their watermarks to get ideas?

It's quite good, if anything I'd make it a little more instrusive and hard to remove, especially over the actual image. Having the majority of the watermark on the background makes it quite easy to remove. Then again, you need to be desperate to remove a watermark and I kind of think if people want to go to that effort, they deserve to use the image

Wasn't a registered breeder, based on previous posts

I use Advanxtix two weekly for fleas and ticks, and Inteceptor Spectrum monthly for heartworm. I wouldn't ever use the annual heartworm injection on my guys just for the sheer amount of chemicals injected at once into them. If you think two weeks is too close together for flea/tick treatment, why would you consider 12 months worth of heartworming all at the same time?

I use Lenards for frames, wings and feet too. Often they have minced frames too, if you need them minced. And they are cheap and good quality, but I'm always looking for a Lenards equvilent for other meat, not just chicken.

DOL is always open in the background, so my hours would be misleading!

NSW, and yes we do too, but no one has been able to contact him for quite a while, it's not just today.

Feeding Raw And Grain-free Dry Food
minimax replied to Sail_Away's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I am only assuming it has preservatives in it because it is 'packaged' there is no way it can be 'fresh' and then just frozen meat... I know a couple of people that tried it and their dogs came up in hives! I have Ian Billinghurst's book "Give your dog a bone" here somewhere but we just moved and are still unpacking so no idea where it is. I know what you mean though, there are SO many options out there and everyone has a different opinion on what works best and then all dogs are different... I just try to avoid 'commercial' food where possible and just use fresh ingredients... I didn't really want to go onto dry food but I think a small amount each day of good quality brand should be ok... So you don't freeze your own meat for human consumption as a way of preserving it? I mainly feel that companies that 'mass produce' pet products would have to add some preservative to the meat in order for it to keep until sold... apparently Australian law has loop holes for labelling on pet food and Sulphur Dioxide is not required to be shown on the ingredients list... anyway, I have no proof of there being preservatives in the BARF mix, I am just sceptical... I will most likely just make my own bones/meat/veg mix anyway. Very interesting topic though! I think it's hilarious you won't feed BARF as it's apparently got preservatives, so you're going for a dry food instead -

The Canine Country BARF mix I use doesn't have preservatives either. I don't know any of them that do, can you please give links of the ingredients list to the ones that do? -
As was suggested both other times you asked this, go to a pet shop and buy some tear stain remover.

having spent the fisrt 22 years of my life in the UK, I'd say you were wrong on all counts there. +2. And as a whinging, miserable Pom, I'll be writing a stern letter to someone about you lazy, drunken, kangaroo-riding convicts. I think lazy is a bit harsh  Yeh, it was us convicts that built this place, with our kangaroos and beer, complaining all the way!

I like the third for the portrait, but I don't like either of the others. I wouldn't enter a portrait in a non-portrait category if there was a portrait category, if you know what I mean.
-
I wouldn't put my dog through all that just for a 8 week holiday, that's a bit extreme.

Lol sounds like fuzzy is a whinging pom !

Gotta hate those "told ya so" moments ;)
