Exploratory Surgery Price Opinions Please!
VizslaMomma replied to miss2's topic in General Dog Discussion
Been thinking of you and Stella, miss2. Just checking have the Vets sent Stella home with pain relief? Did you get a fact sheet with info about what to do? Is Stella used to a crate? I would have her in the crate for two reasons. She will be able to be kept quiet in it AND will not have the chance to run away from you. I've had this happen with my dogs after Vet visits. I was regarded as evil Momma. We got thro' that . HUGS xxx -

Many breeders are receptive when they get enquiries. It's always ideal to do your homework in advance. Looking at dogs at Shows is also a chance to see the dogs, their movements etc. :D

Dog With Upper Canine Tooth Gone.
VizslaMomma replied to rajacadoo's topic in General Dog Discussion
Tibor had a similar incident with his upper canine. The local Vet did the repairs and the tooth was saved. Vet said at the time the speed with which treatment was given helped. Paws crossed for a similar outcome for you both. :) -

There should be an entry point of the seed. But if not observed, it moves thro' the body and becomes evident as an abscess It's complex on what bodies do when foreign bodies enter them. Happens with humans and happens with our furkids. Here's a couple of (recent) threads with a whole heap of info. http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/260607-grass-seed-removal/page__p__6604256__hl__%2Bgrass+%2Bseeds__fromsearch__1#entry6604256 AND http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/260110-seed-in-paw/page__p__6587805__hl__%2Bgrass+%2Bseeds__fromsearch__1#entry6587805 -
Exploratory Surgery Price Opinions Please!
VizslaMomma replied to miss2's topic in General Dog Discussion
Poor wee puppy AND Momma. Grass seeds are dangerous. They migrate within the body. Her body is reacting to what is a foreign body. The Vet needs to determine the specifics sooner rather than later and deal with its dispersing/removal. That quote is not over the top, imo. Paws crossed for a good outcome and speedy recovery. What part of the body is the abscess and what breed? Such a worry for you. -
oh yeah..... lots of friends 'do' dehydrated fruits. They are great as treats for training. :)

These are our early days of Tibor just sleeping in our hearts. Still a roller coaster but........ I have always said that we are rejoined by them with that brush of a tail on the arm or a swish around the legs. The wee buggar has visited already. Sending you HUGS and thank you for these words. Good words I enjoyed heartily but I'll save the tissues. I believe what you wrote absolutely.

Dont be sorry! I loved those suggestions. I think you have one very VERY lucky puppy. I can implement a few now. Another toy I have is the clam shell! Actually I have more than one It can either have water in it for those super hot days. Or sand, and filled with toys like you describe. Fun times for puppies

I have grit in my eyes reading this happy news. How wonderful of Lace to send you Master Harry. But how delightful Master Harry is helping you and Holly heal. It's a wonderful role a puppy can do with their new family. I wish you happiness for the times ahead. And, yes, Lace is very loved and always missed.
