I'm The Luckiest/unluckiest Person I Know
VizslaMomma replied to mfch's topic in General Dog Discussion
Harper thinks that Zeddy's stools are the yummiest things on the planet... and the fresher the better... it's common to see poor Zeddy trying to poop and Harper gobbling it as it's coming out... YUCK! T. Are our dogs twins? I call it payback to Zeddy for the fact that she used to do the same thing to my old Rottie girl... *grin* T. They are related for sure. There's a chain of behaviour here -

Gross is bacon rind dangling from the bum and the other garbage guts dog trying to 'help' with its removal. The human was quite prepared to do the surgery. -
Louis - One Year I M H A Survivor
VizslaMomma replied to CrazyCresties's topic in General Dog Discussion
LOVE the tongue. Think it shows the spirit of Louis very well. That must have been so stressful for you (both). Interesting to note what might possibily be the cause. I have a dog who has vaccinosis. (Confirmed thanks to Dr Jean Dodds). Informative posts like this are of such benefit for owners. Happy we are celebrating a good outcome. I wish Louis ( and you) many more years to come. -
Does This Look "wrong" To Anyone Else?
VizslaMomma replied to Kirislin's topic in General Dog Discussion
wow!!!! Been a long time since I read such an accurate description. Not sure if this going to be muscular? Wondering if there is a skeletal variation at the bottom of Nekko's spine? -

She does not appear 'balanced'. I would expect both hind legs to be extended in a line. Was there any bump at some point? :) -
Shall be there with brass bells on! Thanks for the heads up

The OH painted ours with rust-proof paint coming up 7 years next Christmas. Up until last January they were (literally) in the back paddock at Bathurst. Good as ever. Last years they were containing 'goat stuff'. Since the arrival of Horrible Herbie, puppy duty in the back yard without issues.

No wonder they are called merry. Those are fabulous photos! Must have been a great day.

I enjoy going to A & P Shows. Usually manage to find a good selection at them. We have a local Bee shop. His selection is great as well. I get kilo buckets from him several times a month. He has great quality honey.

How devastating. I am so so sorry, Dean. Sending HUGS. Be free, Teddy.

There is such a fine line with these sorts of behaviour. Did any Vets ever suggest the dogs might also have had vaccinosis? Came across an issue with a Vizsla with OCD issues. Vet decided vaccinosis was part of the problem

Not really! Steve does the whole dynamics of the looking at the dog and the humans' interactions with the dog. This is what makes him fabulous. But you get a chance to talk first before you make and attend the appointment. In this matter there are two principals: the Cane Corso and the human(s). He aids the development of the correct interaction. Speak/email them first. I also suggust subscribing to his blog. Read as much as you can about him. Good Luck

Better to get this boy as well as possible. He might misunderstand the arrival of another dog and you are faced with more issues. :)

That's such a worry for you if no progress is happening. How old is the Airedale and what sex?

Not a cone of shame! A cone of protection to help the wee man recover...... Big but gentle HUGS to you both. Hoping for an uneventful recovery. LOVE

Backing up Panto's wishes. -
Not sure if you know of Erny's trials with her dog. They had to seek more than one opinion to (eventually) have success. Hopefully Erny will see the thread. Not sure if they are off partying at the MDBA's Gala which I think is this weekend.
