Well I learned they are too tiny even for Eddie. Might have to try NikNak. It's photo season now so he's already going to be posing in a christmas tree outfit.

Rule of 3. 3 days for the shock to wear off, 3 weeks for them to get used to things and 3 months for them to settle in and really open up. Give her time, try not to hover, just let her explore on her own and watch the regular workings of the house.

Sometimes it's just for fun or to clean their face. Sometimes it's allergens or food allergies. You usually get extra clues like weepy eyes, nasal discharge, patchy hair loss, scratching around the corner of the mouth or in the ears. Sometimes it's a foreign object, grass seed, ingrown eyelashes or manky tooth. If you are worried a vet checkup is always good.

Yes plenty of registered breeders to choose from. Here It's not all that hard to keep your registration going if you want to breed. I don't know the standard price but I'd choose to pay more if it was the going rate for registered pups rather than save some by going on someone's word that they are selling you a purebred.

Believe it or not, he came with that name and his friend called Myles. Funny little twosome, very different to each other. Malcolm's name suits him perfectly. lol

Opinions on new tinned raw food

No Raw means Raw not 'cooked in fat at 40degrees'. -
I'm going to take him up to my friend at Faster Pussycat so he gets a funky makeover photo. He could do with some extra attention. We've just had to start him on Lovan so he's feeling a bit flat poor little boy.

Rest In Peace beautiful Jasper I'm so sorry for your loss. xxx

Leonberger? I don't know their activity levels although there is one living around here in quite high density and he just plods along with his owner. Lots of hair though! I met some at a Pet Expo once, they were lovely. Just sprawled around getting adored by passers by. I recommend you attend a couple of dog shows to meet some breeds in person and chat to breed experts.

Lovan for dogs; does it have to be dispersed?

Thank you Corvus I'll have a chat with our vet tonight. -
Brilliant! Thank you so much! We'll see what Eddie says about wearing pink booties but I think they will look awesome.

That's OK He really is a speshal looking dog, I think he is quite inbred. Nothing medically going on, his heart is good and his sight is fine, just prone to tear stain. The amount of pain he would have had losing his ear would have been incredible. Fortunately no collateral damage scarring on his cornea. He has no tail at all and a 'xylophone body' lol. He may be a bit wonky but he's such a sweetheart. If you meet him in real life, he's a lot more symmetrical. lol He squints his eyes in every photo but this one might give you a better view of what he looks like when he isn't. I wish I could work out how to get his zoomies photo out of my phone. He's just a blur of what looks like an airborne rabbit. LOL. and one of massive sunshine squinties ...

Lovan for dogs; does it have to be dispersed?
_PL_ replied to ricey's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
How long would treatment be before you start seeing changes? I have a dog here who went from pound to a home, put on Lovan, surrendered to another pound where he was weaned off and then adopted out again then given to another shelter. He is absolutely lovely and fine mostly but his separation anxiety is strong. My question would be, given his timeline I calculate he only would have been on Lovan for a month before being surrendered again (I assume for his anxiety). So would it be worth trying it again for a longer period? When I've given it in the past, it didn't work but it was a lot longer than a month before deciding nothing was happening. -
Oh dear no, they aren't supposed to be like that at all.

I honestly don't know, she may be very busy these days. Like corvus said, if you need to raise funds for a behaviourist I'll chip in too. IMHO if you can ultimately keep her with some work that's ideal. -

I'm not suggesting you pass her on, but Rita at Chi Rescue Vic has been around for about 30yrs and could very possibly be a good source of breed specific information. Couldn't hurt to add add her advice to your tool kit. She just might know something that will help. I'm really sorry, it's a difficult situation to be in. My question was in regards to hydrocephalus behaviour changes.
