Doggy Day Care may be an option for a day or two of those long days, just thought I'd add that in there. :)

I'm guessing 3 girls. We'll all be stalking this thread every few hours by Friday . Edited to fix the day -
I've never disputed the fact that you can kill a snake if you feel threatened or are in danger. It is illegal to kill snakes just because you see one though. Unfortunately more people will get bitten trying to kill one. Chopping off their head is NOT the way to safely kill a snake. The head can still deliver a deadly bite many hours after being cut off. There isn't many places now that don't have snakes, even suburbia, we are building into their habitat, and if you're on land, you expect snakes, this is Australia after all.

What about a run, if youre already getting one for your Sharpei, just make it bigger and with the ability to divide it if necessary.

This is all kinds of wrong. Why is there laws for everyone elses dogs, but not this one? Roaming, defacating, the possibility of rushing/charging dogs/people, plus he has no road sense, it's really disturbing to hear that the council and rspca are okay with this, when everyone else has to obey the laws. Plus, how is this good for the dog? He doesn't look happy to me, a dog that no one can get near except for a few to feed/give the odd pat to, he could be full of worms/fleas, then there's heartworm, his teeth, general health, he probably stinks, plus he is out in the extreme elements of cold/heat. I'm really surprised that there's people out there who think that this is okay. It really isn't. ETA: According to ACT by laws, he should be: Desexed, Microchipped, Wear his registration tag at all times Be on a leash in public places Have his poo picked up and disposed of Not be wandering onto peoples yards

This might help....Greyhound, Whippet, Italian Greyhound -
Hi, Thanks! No We only put it on him when we are home for leash training. That one I thought of immediately as the collar is just a bit to big at the moment. That's good to know :)
-
Gorgeous. (I see a collar on puppy in the pic and hopefully you already know this, but I'd not be leaving a collar on the pup when he's alone, so many accidents waiting to happen, sadly a few members on this forum have lost dogs to strangulation with collars )

Take your phone with you, and take a photo of the dogs (like the lab rushing you) and report it to council. That's an offence, report every one of those idiots walking their dogs off lead in the street. I'd maybe drive to another location and walk your dog.

Cosmolo or Nekhbet on here are very good, and come highly recommended by many. Cosmolo HERE Nekhbet HERE she helped me with my Staffy a few years back, and we never had any more problems. What area of Melbourne Ellz?

I saw this yesterday and felt sick, and so angry at the idiot owner. He should be jailed. Those poor dogs, I could see there was a window open in the car, why didn't the people there already just reach in and open the door? I would have been smashing a window and letting them out, no hesitation, no waiting for cops.

Seems to be a few different opinions of what happened, he hit her with a moving trolley, another person said two big pieces of wood, and she's claiming the dog did it. weird. -

Akitas would have as much coat as a GSD, and they are not as trainable as a GSD :) Oh bugga, and I thought I was being so helpful, didn't even think of their coat. What about a Bullmastiff?
