I am so glad I decided to adopt you as you have given me so much love and laughs . I knew you were very special and it just seemed so right to take you in and give you those extra years. This became even more apparent when I found out that you and I shared a birthday When we had our little talk this morning , I knew that your body just couldn't go on any more, you needed to get to the bridge were you could chase bunnies and butterflies once more. RIP Grand old lady, I hope those bunnies have got their running shoes on. I was saving this poem for a special time, but I would love to share it with you now. I have done mostly what most would do, And pushed it out of my mind; But I can't forget, if I wanted to, Four-Feet trotting behind. Day after day, the whole day through -- Wherever my road inclined -- Four-feet said, "I am coming with you!" And trotted along behind.
