This is my hopeful, we have entered the shows at KCC on the 23/24 October (can't remember the club holding it) as well as the Gundog show and Sunbury.

Fingers crossed she behaves herself, she is a bit of a devil at the moment, and unfortunately she may be all legs around then :), her dad was the same and didn't mature until he was about 4 years old!!

My goals for 2011 are very simple but important to me and the breed.

Hopefully get Xolos out to three states to be shown in and I have some more coming over next year to help with the breed establishment.

EDUCATE stubborn people that the dogs are XOLOITZCUINTLE and not Mexican Hairless!!

Continue to attend and educate the General Public on the breed at as many community events and shows as we can.

Do three Royals next year!

In a few years time we will hopefully be recognised enough to get in with the big kids and collect some fringies!!

After loosing my boy at the start of the year, I kinda had plans for him, which unfortunately went unfilled and I kinda lost some interest in showing

and then

i won my first ALL BREEDS BEST IN SHOW - At the PERTH ROYAL SHOW no less, handling a friends Standard Poodle...

I also took out Runner Up Best in Show at the Non Sporting Club of WA Champ show with him a few weeks prior too

LOL - I won MY first All Breeds Best In Show handling the same dog a little while ago!:) Go Cashy - you multi BIS winning superstar, you! :) Well done again RnH!

As far as my year went, my gorgeous Whippet boy Buzz turns 6 months old on Thursday and so moves out of Baby up with the 'big kids' ;) I am so happy with my little man, we have had lots of fun so far and he finishes his baby career with 3 x Baby in Groups and 1 X Baby in Show (at a Sighthound specialty) :)

Looking forward to what the next year may bring!!

How funny is that - he certainly is a superstar... I dont really want to hand the reigns back to pete LOL!

All the best with little Buzz man, he is soo cute

  • 2 months later...

ok, had to go searching for this thread. Introducing my new show boy, "Ceasar" - Kaparla We Will Rock You.

The stacked photo's aren't perfect.... I'm still trying to learn, and he's very squirmy. He's about 9.5 weeks and will be entering the ring in late Jan, assuming the paperwork is processed into my name soon enough.... He has a huge coat, and is very fluffy at the moment.

lovely puppy.

Goals for the year are

1. to have Oberon stack nicely and be less distracted in the ring. This is something i've got to work on. its very exciting for him with all those other dogs around.

2. Get a challenge cert worth more than 6pts.

3. To have lots of fun.

We're on 6 pts after 1 championship show.

2010 was better than expected!

Titled three Aussies.

Maizie has been the star for 2010:Titled (which was unexpected this year) at only 14 months of age with a 17 point BOB and 10 large challenges. She's picked up a bunch more challenges and BOBs since then and is nearly on 200 points.

At 11 months she took out Puppy in Group at the Adelaide Royal  and then the first BEST IN GROUP I've ever picked up with one of my own/co-owned dogs at 14 months of age.

Numerous puppy and junior in groups. ;)

Holly had her first (and likely only) litter and managed to listen and pop out exactly what we wanted.

Ruby lost her litter and needed a c-section to remove the dead pups. :p

Aims for 2011:

Get Holly's baby in the ring and have fun with him. :xmaswave:

Pick up a challenge with Bree (I can dream :D )

Possibly try again with Ruby and hopefully have a successful litter this time.

Another BIG with Maizie would be fun! ;)

My only goal for 2011 is for Jedi to get the remaining 34 points for his Neuter Championship!

Yep, I forgot to add my other goals.

Phoenix (Golden) needs the rest of his points for his neuter championship too... I think it's about 64.

Willow (LH Wei) needs her last 25 points after turning 12 months, we are down to 19 points left.

I'd also really love Willow to get a class in group, I don't think that will ever happen, so I will settle for ANY LH Wei getting a class in group this year at a show I attend (NSW).... they are very few and far between.

2010 achievements:

- Titled Moo, she now has over 500 points to her name and won a lovely Inter in Group the other weekend under a rare spaniel specialist.

- Got the Flynny-monster for the OH (although he refuses to show him). Now just out of minor he has some points to his name and multiple classes in group and sweepstake placings.

- Applied for my prefix - playing the waiting game currently for it to come back

- Got Moo's health tests back with flying colours

2011 aims:

- Depending on how Flynn matures try to get some more points on him

- Possibly breed Moo

- Look at starting flyball with Moo

- Do some obedience work with Flynn (trying to get OH to take "his" dog  )

My post earlier

I just want to keep having fun and keep learning.

My two biggest things are that Id love, is to title Kite and I would love for Rebels first litter to have atleast one baby with potential and also for the litter to be as little stress on Rebel as possible.

Also have my fingers crossed for a new baby or two next year!

Well I definately kept learning and having fun. I have also made some AWESOME friends.

Kites title is so close I can almost touch it but unfortunately I couldnt get there this year.

Rebels litter went very badly

But I am 100% confident that 2011 is going to be a better year as I have quite a few things on the cards!

Coming up for 2011..... The most exciting year yet.

On 19 January 2011 Hagen the Fauve (imported by Katherine Wishart) arrives in Australia from Denmark.

Whenever Marie comes into season after that they will mate and hopefully Fauve puppies will be born at my house   :D .

A suit will be bought for Campbell who will handle Daphne and, hopefully, kick his mother's butt on a regular basis ;)
