  1. fishbone fern, sparaxis?, japanese bamboo?violets, and yes, possibly may bush .We have all of the above, and have never seen any reaction from the dogs .Bear in mind that ANYTHING can cause a reaction - soaps/carpet cleaner/fabric softener..... :)
  2. :) it suits her so well - and I am envious you have met this old lady :)
  3. LOVE Feather's coat :) She reminded me immediately of Audrey Hepburn :)
  4. puppy breath.......................... congrats!! they are so beautiful :)
  5. Welcome :) Desexing Brash may help with some of his hormone -fuelled behaviours . TRAINING will help everything enormously, and I suggest you find a nearby dog training club and go there !! They will advise you on training equipment , and help you manage the dog with skills, not just physical restraint :)
  6. Glad you have puppies and that the mum is ok :)
  7. chicken carcasses ... turkey necks yes, carrots & apples as well :) Deer Antlers Bully sticks
  8. My dog Don (crossbreed) was all black - then at around ..6 mths or older- his coat sprouted many many white hairs ,,and a white/grey muzzle :) What colour is the skin around where the white hairs are on your pup?
  9. there are all sorts of mismarks HERE :) genetics ..... hard to understand , and often surprising.
  10. :) I doubt very much that a collar/disease caused this - it just looks like a 'mismark' , which can happen . some have a white chest spot, or white hairs on their feet , or tails ... the placing/shape of that white is a bit like the ruff on a border collie .
  11. Have a look at the following links - lots of similar stories- some worse- and some info for you :) LINK LINK LINK
  12. poor Girl - naturally she will be grieving - her whole world is now different. treat her as normal ..but give her extra walks/car rides/bones . Don't fuss over her with cuddles/tears - she will pick up on that & it may make her feel worse . perhaps when you get home ..take her for a walk , or do some training with her - using nice treats :)
  13. Widget is middle aged & tends to pee once during the night . I leave a conni critter pad down for her ...much easier than getting up , waking up numerous other dogs/cat/pig ....... Don holds on really well , considering he's entire & has only been sleeping indoors for a few months !
  14. :) lovely to see the 'odd couple' relaxed and fit,and happy .
  15. No everyday crate use here - I use a tether instead . It is the way I was taught , around 40 yrs ago , and there hasn't been a reason for change . I can see the value of crate use in many lifestyles - but don't think it is essential :)
  16. Whatever you put on will only encourage more licking, IMO . Just a general bath/groom and being kept otherwise occupied may help? Lots of food dispensing items/bones , etc ?
