  2. BB are a franchise - so not everyone is 'reading from the same page' the basics are the same , but you will never be sure what you'll get when you make a booking I did a bit of online searching last night, and couldn't find many good reviews . You have been given some excellent advice here from experience and knowledgable folks I hope you find a reputable trainer , do some online research , and stick around (we love seeing photos, and getting updates.)
  3. Awww..look at those two ... the start of a friendship
  4. Just when I think I have seen all sorts of cute , this young gentleman pops up! I'm sure he has some sort of advertising career in his future! ;) just delicious......
  5. If he were mine, I'd definitely be getting the DNA test done - (You then have incontrovertible proof you can show people, too!)
  6. AS far as I know , The DOGZONLINE website is somewhere for breeders to advertise - breeders are not individually assessed as to the quality of their pups ....
  7. These poor dogs- specially bred for shape/endurance to run and run in a wheel to keep the roasting meat turning on a spit .... LINK TO STORY excerpt : IN THE HOT, SMOKY KITCHENS of 17th-century Europe, you’d find a lot of things you’d never see in kitchens today; a large open fire, an iron roasting spit, and oh—a giant hamster wheel-like contraption holding a small, live, constantly running dog. For hundreds of years the now-extinct turnspit dog, also called Canis Vertigus (“dizzy dog”), vernepator cur, kitchen dog and turn-tyke, was specially bred just to turn a roasting mechanism for meat. And weirdly, this animal was a high-tech fixture for the professional and home cook from the 16th century until the mid-1800s. Edward Jessy included the turnspit dog in his 19th-century book Anecdotes of Dogs, and he remembered it well from his youth. “They were long-bodied, crooked-legged, and ugly dogs, with a suspicious, unhappy look about them,

  12. Your puppy needs a vet check, I think .....
  13. If you could tell she was in season, it was NOT 'silent'.A silent season/heat is when it happens internally as normal, but with no external evidence.
  14. I have no ideas re:money changing hands...I would have thought you would get pup from the breeder after she regained control of it , but... Anyhow, I do hope everything goes well. A vet check is a must - good plan Puppy will probably be unsettled and ill mannered due to changes , but it sounds as if you've done it before best of luck ! puppy pics are very desirable on D O L (please?) :D
  15. What a great update he must be feeling SO much better .
  16. BINGO! you have solved your problem ....she still needs your help
  17. Why not provide Chase with bones he can chew and eat ? provide his food in interactive 'toys' , or as meaty bones/fresh real food he needs to work at , and let him use his jaws/mind that way ? there are also snuffle mats- brilliant things for puppies ..gets them using their noses and brains PICA ..the eating of non- food items , including rocks, is a compulsion , regardless of what else is given to chew on .It is caused by many things...and providing chewtoys mostly won't alter the underlying caus/es. I think folks like antlers because they are natural , and aesthetically pleasing . Things dogs would absolutely have a ball with, like a half raw sheep's head -or fish heads well, most people wouldn't be so keen ;) Our dogs at the moment, because we live in the bush , are finding young rabbits dead of various things (NOT BAITS) and scoffing the whole lot- fur, innards & all ! Pudden had 2 for 'breakfast the other morning ...and he's all Koolie- no labrador LOL Give him a Denta-chew , and he looks at me like I am slightly weird! Whatever you choose for your gorgeous boy, I KNOW he will be snaffling a huge chunk of your heart from that first hour ..and I can't wait to see photos and read of his adventures ! Thank you for sharing your journey .
