  1. Hmmm... seems she has conned everyone :p Doesn't anyone else have a norty oldie?
  2. Grey temperament is ideal .. however she likes to do beach walks etc off lead DD I'm very sure Bunter is entirely satisfied where he is!! :D
  3. wow! :) love that . there are various lenses for a macro shot ..I've gone cheap Kogan 3-in-one lenses ..around $20 . Then there's OLLOCLIP which does a better job and I think is around $50 ?
  4. Just popped back in to ask politely for MORE CARTER PHOTOS ! :)
  5. Doesn't really change them .. just stops any behaviour which was associated with being in season etc ....
  6. Name : "Caillie Ann the blue eyed Koolie " Age : 14 Crimes: stealing dead animals from hawks & crows , removing articles of human clothing from vehicles, dragging them around, then sleeping on them while gumming her treasure collection ; teasing the other dogs; occasionally trying to chase cars . She's a worry :p (pic taken this afternoon)
  7. Think of him as a baby human ..and how tricky it is to get them to understand using a pot rather than a nappy !! Dogs don't think things thru like a human child .. so it needs to be done simply and specifically :)
  8. Dogs who are allowed to toilet inside are confused .. and don't see a need to take themselves OUtside ;) It is an owner's responsiblity to decide which one is to be the toilet spot ..and then spend quite a lot of time/effort in showing the puppy :) is there no way he can be left outside during the day ?
  9. The search is back on - after much soul searching ..and some just -at-the-wrong-time other stuff .. .
  10. jumps fences if left alone in yard apparently - why wasn't that put in her profile, I wonder ? Not a great problem in this case .. dogs are always left inside if no one is home ..but a worry still . If this doesn't work out ... I will tell her about the Koolies :)
  11. No, inner sububs :) Most of my pet dogs would have been classed "no good with chickens or livestock" they have all killed a chook or chased something at some time
  12. Ohhh he is just so handsome!! :) :) :) let us know how things go - he's a lucky boy .
  13. agree with this :) I hope that professional help with carter will make things safer .
  14. OhhOOh ..I might soon be an 'auntie' ... there is apparently a meeting being organised :) LINK
  15. Seems Shadow (paws&Claws) is getting a good consideration ... :) If I was looking I would be sorely tempted .......
  16. She wants to meet a dog in person before taking it into her home ... and , sorry, a 14 Y O one is way too senior ... she lost her old girl at 14 .
  17. having had aspergillus growing on an eardrum .. I can vouch for the pain and discomfort ..and I hope your little guy will be a LOT happier very soon :) :)
  18. how sad is it that when we look , there are just so many amstaff x's & staffy x's ? I had no idea.
  19. apologies if this is a duplicate .. thought I posted it a few days ago ... but can't find it.... maybe it was zapped? A friend lost her old dog last year and has decided to now get another companion. She studies, and does some work from home ...has lots of friends with dogs ,and has lots of contact with young kids . The yard is well fenced /padlocked..and a dog would be indoors a lot . Greyhound temperament seems to suit - however she loves free-running her dog at the beach , or at my place here , etc ... so no grey . I can guarantee much love and an interesting life for any dog who shares this space - yes, quite a bit of time alone , but lots of couch/bed time as well :) Thanks , people. here is her 'list' : female for sure medium to large (although I saw some CUTE teeny pooches today that nearly stole my heart! but then they started yapping....) med to long hair (or poodly type - just not really short hair) NOT barky or yappy around 3 years plus (happy for an older doggy) not too much energy (evening strolls every day or couple of days are ok, ) snuggly (will be an "on the bed" dog :p) NOT staffy looking (something about staffy's and me - just don't gel) more pointed head/nose than snuff-nose confident - not too nervy
