  1. Doesn't sound unusual . If we have a litter ..we often know which pup will suit which new situation best ..sometimes almost from the time the pup is born ! New owners don't see their pup until they come collect it If the breeder has asked you lots of questions , and is experienced, then I'd trust they know what they are doing matching a pup to a family is more than cute puppy dog eyes, a pretty colour pattern, and a waggy tail ;) A breeder who is experienced and observant will know which are the settled pups, which are the drivey ones. Which pup may be ideal for elderly/frail people. Which puppies might be the perfect walking/training companion, or which one may be the one who needs extra work ..who will be a star , given the extra time & training - who is NOT one to leave to their own devices ;) Does puppy A push puppy F out the way ? Why does puppy C only ever come when she can see someone ? When Puppy D growls and snaps ...is that going to be a problem ? How wonderful is it when that puppy E just gazes up at us after sitting and waiting ! ? these are all things breeders watch and note and add to their files for future use Inexperienced new puppy buyers do not have this advantage ..and CAN not have this advantage , because of disease risks .
  2. Great update Hope the new family stays happy . We do need more photos of Harlem now she's officially yours
  3. Glad you had a good meet & greet a climber . Hmmm. You may need a fair bit of work . have a look here .If she succeeds ONCE - ..or even partly ..she will do it again , trying harder being removed from her pups , and in a new home will be a stressor. LINK LINK
  4. oh - I thought he was talking about bravecto 6 mth .

  6. is it Council , or the body corporate /whoever runs the apartment block? If the management says ONE pet ..then that's it. You'd need to talk with them and ask if there is any leeway. (unless it's Council apartments) the noise level WILL JUMP amazingly high having two pups I do not see a happy ending .
  7. Ask in the chemist , or one of those shops which have homecare /assisted living aids I have seen that sort of thing for dispensing liquid foods etc Google, or phone/enquire for "Oral Syringe" Good luck

  13. Welcome! She looks very sweet Love the colour ...hope she gets used to the kerTHUMP soon
  14. Why not feed him his meals raw and on the bone ? half pig heads, beef brisket bones, roo tails ..that sort of thing ? That plus some vege/meat mix ... and perhaps find him something else to do other than chew? have a look at what's available here. Often chasing/shouldering a tuff large ball around will act as a great substitute for chewing .... Aussie Dog toys
  15. Most importantly ..has the prospective dog heard/seen human babies ? Not sure what testing this rescue has in place , but it may be wise to enquire . Hopefuly she has been in a foster home and is used to some sort of family life ..and perhaps you could visit ? It would be awful to bring her home, pin hopes on her , only to find problems .
