  1. yep that's my concern too, I'll be watching them like a hawk, dumb dog/s.
  2. I cant believe what at least one of them, possibly 2 have done. I had to go out for about half an hour in a hurry and entrusted them to have access to the kitchen. Someone raided the compost tub, which had tops and tails of onions, zucchinis, eggplant, onion and garlic skins, avocado SEED!!!!! and the seed body of 2 capsicums. It's all gone! eaten! The only things they didn't eat where the stalks of tomatoes and the avocado peel. I'm worried about the avo seed, that cannot be good for them. Bloody maniac dogs.
  3. I wonder if she has a fungal infection. You could try bathing in betadine, which is iodine based. can you post a photo of the grey spots?
  4. Here's another video from the same bloke.
  5. Remind me please, I have not bred a litter for years now. I seem to remember the norm is worm the bitch just before she's mated, and again 2 weeks before whelping, then worm pups and mum at 2 weeks, and the pups again at 4, 6 and 8 weeks then every 3 months thereafter. Is that right? BTW I'm not planning on breeding a litter, I'm just curious.
  6. that rabbit could beat the crap out of Kitty if it wanted to. wonderful photos.
  7. I wish she could be hunted down and made to endure exactly what she did to that poor little pony. I somehow doubt it's even still alive, and it might be a blessing if it isn't. No more suffering.
  8. I'd like to know where this disgusting hag lives and slap her down. Appalling cruelty of a horse. My link
  9. Actually this has already happened to me. Fortunately when the ranger came round and talked to me, and I told her my version of events, (what really happened as opposed to the version of a hysterical woman who over reacted) and showed her how I've trained my dogs to come to a whistle, which she was very impressed by, she believed me and nothing more came of it.
  10. I agree, what a ride it's been. As to the previous owner, perhaps you can present her with a bill of the costs so far.
  11. they'll still get around it even if the daughter is banned from owning animals. Her mother will own them.
  12. Formalin!!!! no way! Is it possible your dog has corns, sometimes they're hard to see but they'd make her limp.
  13. they really are very very good, and that price is nothing for the amount of work.
  14. I think councils are taking dog complaints alot more seriously of late than they used to a few years ago. Certainly in my area they are. About 6 years ago I rang them to complain about a frightening wandering dog that bailed me up on my own property! I knew where the dog lived but they told me then that I would have to catch the dog before they would come out. But in the following years much changed, and a few years later they took my complaint of Penny whippet being attacked very seriously, although I never saw the attacking dog again, they did their best to investigate it.
  15. That's so kind of you Kirislin! I'm hoping to organise a fundraiser in a couple of weeks, probably an auction type of thing. It would be lovely to have one of your leads :) It's up to you how you'd like to do it, you can either post it to: Little Legs Dog Rescue PO Box 391 Marden SA 5070 or, send me a photo and after the auction you can post it to the winner. I'm happy to cover postage costs. It's really nice of you to offer, thank you so much xx I'll take some photos of it for you to use and then post it to you.
  16. do you mean will he be "leggy" like some male dogs get when desexed young? Have a look at his front legs. Are his wrists smooth or knobbly. If they're knobbly he's still got some bone growing to do. I hope that makes sense.
  17. It certainly sounds terrible, but it's confusingly written. One part says the owner of the attacking dog fled and another says she strolled off with friends. I hope the owner is charged and convicted, but once again, the damage is done.
  18. Pretty good incentive to control our dogs.
  19. Is it at an off lead park? If so, I would avoid that park if I was you. You could try taking photos of said charging dogs to back up your complaint to council. Have dates and times recorded and owners car regos if you can. The more info the better.
  20. Yellow Girl, I used to do leatherwork. I've stopped now but I still have some things in my leather box. I'm wondering if I give you something can you sell it on ebay as a fundraiser? Do you do stuff like that. I cannot afford to donate money, but in the past I've dontated my leather work for various dog charities (WRAP in the USA being one) and it's helped raise money. I've got a 44"/112cm 6 strand kangaroo hide leash here, I hand cut the hide, and plaited it up. Would be good for a strong dog, if you want I can take a photo of it.
  21. My first thought was neck pain too. Whatever it is, I hope he's OK. Penny gets neck pain sometimes now from an injury I caused trying to save her from an attacking dog, I instinctively yanked her behind me and cricked her neck. That was about 3 years ago now and she's had several episodes where she's in awful pain and her neck goes into cramping spasms. I massage it gently and go all along her spine, starting from her head all the way down to her tail.
  22. Possibly the place they escaped from WAS their home... a week earlier. that crossed my mind as well.
  23. Perhaps the dogs just escaped and found their way home
