  3. thanks, I hope the poor little thing gets another chance and this time with a more dog savvy owner.
  4. And I get so envious of your processing abilities I get envious of anyone who can process at all. The most I can manage is to convert from RAW to jpeg and sharpen and colour adjust a bit, oh as well as crop and now straighten. hahahaha I sometimes wonder how my photos would look if I could do all the fancy stuff with them. Still, you need a good photo to start with dont you. I need to concentrate on acheiving that I suppose.
  5. A woman I've never met, she is the mother of a friend, recently adopted a male dog from the RSPCA. It had been used as a breeder on a puppy farm and had no training or socialisation. She was aware of this when she took it but has now decided she doesn't want it anymore because it chews things. If she takes it back will it be automatically put down, considered a failure, or will they realise it's not the poor dogs fault. I am hoping she doesn't take it back but her daughter is pretty sure she will and is very pissed off with her.
  6. There are some good tutorials put out by Canon on the 7D here. http://www.learn.usa.canon.com/galleries/galleries/tutorials/eos_7d_tutorials.shtml I still go back and watch them. I've just been twiddling with my custom functions again. Must see what it does now. There's so many ways to configure this camera it can be very daunting.
  7. Oooh congratulations! Dont be surprised if you are a bit disappointed at first. It takes a bit of tweaking, well, it did for me. I had to laugh at this. I stare at mine too, and think OMG what a magnificent beast and I understand about your trusty 450D I sold my little 400D and I didn't want to. I still see it sometimes and hold it, and think, you sweet little thing.
  8. I remember reading this years ago, when I first got my computer. Yes, it's very funny. I wonder what happened eventually.
  9. This is the only one like that I could find, Mixed Breeds. there's others there but no mutts and mongrels that I could see. http://www.redbubble.com/people/dolmixedbreeds/calendars/2139808-dol-mixed-breeds-2009 Probably about time they were either taken off, or updated and re-promoted since the pics have been the same ever since.
  10. Beautiful photos in here. I dont seem to be able to get those close up macros that you all get, but I find it's a great lens for all kinds of things. Lovely and sharp. These were taken yesterday with my 100mm and cropped quite a bit.
  11. aaah yes, well that was very important. Nothing worse than it clashing with them.
  12. very funny pics tlc and all to familiar to me.
  13. I am not going to even try to enforce a no dogs on furniture rule, actually, I probably could if I really tried, but I bought it for all of us, and that includes whippets. I will probably throw some blankets over it to protect it a bit but I know it will get doggy marks, I am not going to stress about it.
  14. I love the snoopy-on-top-of-kennel impersonation one. Very cute.
  15. Perhaps I should also buy one single just for me, but I could imagine myself then being crushed and trapped under the weight of 5 whippets while the 2 sofas go empty.
  16. I cant take a photo of them on it now cause they've all trooped in here to follow me.
  17. After many years of living with some pretty ordinary old hand me down furniture that wasn't at all inviting or comfortable to sit on I finally bit the bullet and bought myself 2 luscious sofas that should last me to the end of my days. I'm just thrilled with them, there's plenty of room for me and all 5 whippets, and guests if they happen to visit. Why is it then that last night I ended up laying on the floor to watch tv because it was easier than having all 5 whippets on top of me?
  18. good to see another dog who enjoys her greens. She would fit in well over here.
  19. Gorgeous photos Huga, you've captured such funny expressions with them. Lola better get him in check quick smart cause he's going to be bigger than her soon. I think dog toy makers need to make big fat toy cigars just for frenchies because every time I see one with a long chew toy in its mouth I think of Winston Churchill.
  20. I love this, I have a photo of ME somewhere with the exact same expression! Is this one of your dogs, the face looks too dark?
