  1. Just a thought, if he is happy when he's out, would he eat then?
  2. My faves would be the first and last. Do tell us about your new camera body!! What did you get? I'm guessing full frame.
  3. I used to have it growing in my garden but my whippets ate it to death! I hope it doesn't give them all liver problems. I have a small pot of it now and they still eat it when there's leaves growing.
  4. I couldn't find the ad but I googled jrt rottie cross and found a few others reputed to be the same cross. The dog called bacon being one. The father was the JRT in that case.
  5. I'm surprised she survived the mating!!!
  6. They might have left part of the upper thigh. If so I would imagine it would be more comfortable if the dog wants to lay down on that side. Not sure if they do, whether it would be hard to stand up from the amputated side but if not I think it would be more comfortable to lay down with some thigh still there.
  7. Yay! Motion, my fave! :D and I'm still trying to get it right, especially panning.
  8. I'm so happy you have a DSLR now :D
  9. He looks dreadfully thin to me and from what you say he's probably much thinner since those photos were taken. He looks quite alert in them though. I hope you can find the source of the problem and get him eating again soon.
  10. I've also heard dried figs will work in the same way. Not sure if it's true, and yes you have to feed it to the dog who has their poo eaten, not the poo eater, unless they eat their own poo.
  11. Yep, Betty Edwards. I have also suggested that book to dogsrawesome in a previous thread. It's a great book for understanding and learning how to draw.
  12. Oh gawd, I'll have to go look again now. Our $ is so strong right now if I was ever going to buy one now is the time.
  13. Mine eat pineapple with no ill effects.
  14. It's not good taking a pic of the drawing on an angle, it distorts the drawing so we cant get a real idea of the proportions.
  15. can you post some examples and tell us what your settings were for those shots.
  16. What a great thing you all did. Well done to everyone involved.
  17. Bull mastiff x chihuahaua how is that even possible...how do they even mange to mate with that size difference :D unless they do AI, but I can't imagine a BYB going to that trouble. Gee I hope the female was the Bull mastiff & not the chihuahua. In a thread similar to this one a while back, I posted photos of a dog that was reputed to be this cross and yes the mother was the bull mastiff. Alot of people didn't beleive it when I posted the photo, I must be gullible because I did.
  18. Pers, you've got such a great eye for photography and you're so clever at hunting tutorials and info down on the net I know you'll get the hang of it soon, then there'll be no stopping you.
  19. you might be able to get a good second hand lens too. If properly cared for lenses dont really wear out, well, not as quickly as cameras.
  20. wow! they really are amazing, I dont know how well I would have coped with all those spiders.
  21. You must have taken thousands of photos! I love seeing the little dogs that people might generally think of as lap dogs competing. We all know and expect working dogs and staffy types to do well but when I see little papillons and mini poodles competing I love it. I also loved seeing an oldster in there, and of course the whippet.
  22. sorry, I dont know how, I would help if I could.
