Here's a weimeraner I met today, his name is Chalk and he was a real bargearse just like another one we know. both of them have now sent Penny sprawling on the ground yelping. He didn't mean any harm though, just big heavy and goofy. Here he is looking a bit more graceful.

Stans mum, they LOVE it! Feather hasn't been for 6 years but as soon as I turned up the driveway she sat up. When I put her on the lead and started towards the track she started screaming like a banshee. You can see more pics here

They encourage them to chase by letting them catch the lure and "bite on", no live animals are used! That lure is even made of synthetic material, I suspect it was someones jumper, I saw a label on it. Even Feather who hasn't been there for 6years remembered what it was all about. This was part of her birthday present, she's 9 today. Then comes box training. The jump! Once they're jumping well and running the full circuit they are graded and put in to races with whippets of similar ability. And then........................

I used to race my whippets at Tooradin, the home of the Victorian Whippet Racing Association. I raced my girls there for 6 years, from 1999-2005. They are a proper racing club, with rules similar to greyhound racing but it's amateur, no betting and the whippets are usually pets first and foremost. Whippets are becoming an increasingly popular breed but I dont think many know about this club. I thought I'd go down and take some pics to get the word out a bit more about them. They've been going for almost 40 years so they're pretty good at what they do. Whippets are first taught to chase the lure. some dont catch on straight away Not this time On their second attempt they started to get the idea though. These cuties were actually running in front of the lure. I feel like I can just about hear them giggling, they were very cute. More to come

I have a flickr pro account which I thought I had to pay for each year. I feel sure I've had it for more than a year now but I haven't paid for another subscription. I dont think they can help themselves to my account, and I would notice if they did. Has anyone else had to pay a renewal when their year is up? What's the bet now that I've mentioned it I'll get a renewal notice.

I used to race my whippets at Tooradin every 3 weeks for 6 years but stopped going in 2005. I went back today with my camera and took some shots for our May challenge. This odd eyed white whippet was very handsome

Correct. I've seen numerous videos of alive animals being skun. One of the most shocking was a raccoon. And also a dog on a pile (a pile of animals all who had been skun alive) who lifted his head and was looking around. :cry: Oh God I wish I hadn't just read this. :cry:

Oooh Lovely! The graffitti wall one is great, the colours make her look feminine. Have you used some sort of extra lighting with these, it's not just natural lighting is it? What is that arc I see in some, like an albino rainbow

My whippets haven't been bathed in years. If they roll in something stinky I wash that area with a cloth, shampoo, and warm water but an all over bath hasn't happened for a long time now. I certainly would wash them if I thought they needed it though.
