  1. You've put this in the wrong place, this is for the monthly photographic challenges. You might do better to see if Troy will move this or start afresh in the General dogs area.
  2. I've just got myself a large plastic barrel from a girl who gets them for free from where she works. They're fantastic, all she asks for is a small donation of food for the Animal Aid at Coldstream. I saw the same barrels for sale at a pet place for $29.95!
  3. the top pic is almost a perfect circle of fluff! Ange I think your photo of Oliver is beautiful, couldn't be better.
  4. It's going quite cheap at DWI right now. :D http://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/store/product.asp?idProduct=62
  5. The title of this thread reminds me of "I kissed a girl and I liked it"
  6. Have you ever tried correcting this in DPP? I have a 17-85 and tried the correction out, it was pretty good. Then again sometimes you can use that distortion to great effect. Clicking Mad was brilliant with it. She doesn't seem to post much here now.
  7. I'll be picking up the case tomorrow, I hope it's not all filthy, I left it on a bench at a greyhound trial track, in a fairly grotty shed. He put it in a cupboard for me. I hope the mice haven't turned it into their mansion or anything.
  8. My idiot psycho whippets, Tag and Puck I suspect, got into some Robert Timms coffee bags and partially ate 2 of them, as well as spreading them over the carpet. Certainly showing no ill effects but I cannot imagine how awful they must have tasted. I really wonder about these dogs sometimes.
  9. Wow, your dings are so different, the black and tan would pass for a kelpie to me! There are fences in some of my shots but depending on where they were standing and with a shallow depth of field you dont really notice that there was a building in the background of one shot.
  10. I think that means the little button on the back of your camera with the asterisk * use that to focus.
  11. so good to know you persevered with him and it's working well. I hope you are rewarded with many years of joy and love from the little guy.
  12. Great story, I love it when things are handed in and kept rather than just kept (not handed in) or just thrown away good to know there is honesty around It's unlikely to have been stolen there, I was more concerned about them throwing it away. When I first rang and asked he knew immediately what I was talking about but I thought he'd turfed it, but luckily he knew it was of some value, he just didn't know what it was, so he put it in a cupboard. Phew!
  13. My gear is insured but I wouldn't have claimed the cover, it wouldn't be worth it. I wrote about it simply because it was so easy to misplace, even though I thought I was being careful. Yes, dont forget to update your policy.
  14. I'm usually careful with stuff, even though I might be messy I know where things are, but I've misplaced my big lens cover for my 70-200 lens. I've been looking all over for it and just in the last hour or so it came to me where I've lost it. I went to the whippet races at Tooradin almost a month ago, and only today I realised that's where I left it. It's so easy to be distracted, people talking, I was fussing about trying to change lenses and left it on a table. Even now replaying it in my mind I remember thinking, dont loose that, put it in the car.....but I didn't. Thankfully I just rang and asked about it and it's been put in a cupboard so I will pick it up this weekend. I am so glad it didn't have the actual lens inside.
  15. it's not essential, I dont do any special editing to mine, admittedly they're not as good as some here but I still love the lens and get tons of fun from it.
  16. Hey, it really does stand for Crap Man! and I wasn't far off with the slogan saving the world on poo at a time. It's actually saving wildlife, one toilet at a time.
  17. where're it's eyes? so fluffy we cant see them.
  18. Not another thing for me to download! You told me about Picasa and I like that, now photoscape! that antique one is amazing, it could have been taken in the late 1800's from the looks of it.
  19. If you wanted to cheat you could clone them out.
  20. I Love the whippet and the bike one, and all these horsey action ones are great too. I need to take some more.
  21. He needs to put one down his undies, there's a distinct lack of anything there. or maybe crap man? I'm not sure, I should've asked him.
  22. You and me seem to be the only ones to find him amusing. He was at Healesville Sanctuary, saving the world, one poo at a time.
  23. Have you looked in lost and found anywhere up there. It might be that the owners are frantically searching for it in the wrong place.
  24. what about Brando or Brandon? He's got a tiny bit of knuckle left I think, so a little bit more growing to do, not much though, then just filling out/bulking up. What do you current 3 think of him, I didn't see Trixie in the group shot.
