On line price was $900 including delivery, JB price was $950 and even then it was still $100 less than their advertised price so not bad. Plus we got a backpack and SD card all for less than the advertised price. I'll get filters and other things online when I figure out what I need I think. Harvey Norman wouldnt even entertain the online price, but I didnt think they would. that's a great price! Much better than the online because you will have Canon guarantee it if anything goes wrong. You dont get that with online purchases so you have to buy a separate warranty, and even then, if something goes wrong they have their own techs repair it, not Canon. You did really well!

Hard to tell from the photos if he's even overweight. She might have him starving if she gets him to 10kg.

Meerkats!! I've been watching Meerkat Manor in iView, I love it. The peacock colours are just amazing.

OT segue -> did you all see the Sony ad this week? It was shot with a Canon 5DII ROFLMAO no, is it on youtube, if so can you post a link? To the original OP, there are lots of threads like yours here asking the same question. Have a look through and see what others are asking and then buying. Also look online for what you want, even if you then choose not to buy from an online seller it might give you more bargaining power. Someone mentioned Teds also have an online shop where they try to match online deals. Best of luck with your decision.

Looks like anything that doesn't move out of the way today is going to get its picture taken by you! Have fun with it, I know you will.

Wow! I never knew about this! I would much prefer to buy from a retailer but sometimes the online prices are just too tempting.
-
Did they give you a better price than you originally mentioned? Congrats on joining the Canon club anyway, now start snapping.

Yippeeee another Canon devotee, what a good hubby you have there, he should score lots of man credits for that one. -
He's so cute, he looks fascinated by the procedure. I love the look of awe, or should that be phwoar! on his little face.

awwww, why the tears at the end? Did you keep any of his baby locks?

You know what they say, If at first you dont succeed, try try try again. I eventually got there, in a fashion. I tried to do another one though and once again got stuck at the paint bucket bit. I couldn't remember how I fluked the first one. Might try again tomorrow.

Hmmmm, I'm not liking my chances of it loading, it's still going and just for the hell of it, I tried to find it again in my photos folder and it's disappeared! I might see if I have more luck with photobucket. 11.25am update Aha!!!! I should've read to the end!! Save as Jpeg!! duh!! Ow, my head hurts! Leave me alone long enough and I'll figure it out. so, after many hours of stuffing about, here is my first attempt at the Lomo effect. -

far out, I think I've sort of done it!! although I dont think it's as good as I'd hoped, probably needs more tweaking. dammit, now I cant seem to find it, I've saved it but when I try to upload to flickr it's nowhere to be found. More headbanging!! -
Photoshop Help. I Just Dont Understand

I might have just done it. Not sure if I will remember how though. I will report back her if I haven't put my fist through the computer. hahaha -
I muddled through my initial question so I've deleted it. Now the problem is I cant find my pic. I saved it and it's in photoshop, I can call it up through there but it's not in my photo files where they normally go. I cant find it anywhere. Can someone give me instructions on how to save it to folder so I can then put it on flickr.

maybe keep a note of the dates it does it, and how many times, but I wouldn't give it many chances, if it does it at least two more times I think if it was mine I'd be asking for it to be checked out.
-
Just be careful with this, if it happens again you might be better off getting it checked while it's covered under warranty. With my 50mm lens it was playing up and I eventually took it back to the retailer who sent it off to canon. They couldn't find anything wrong so I asked the retailer what happens if it does it again when the warranty is over. They told me not to worry saying because it was a known fault, even though canon couldn't duplicate it under test conditions I would be covered for it. sure enough warranty ends, lens start playing up and canon tried to say they wouldn't fix it. Eventually they did but I suppose this is a long winded way of saying get any little hiccoughs ironed out before the warranty ends.
-
well at least it's covered by a guarantee. I hope you have it back again soon.
-
the JB price is pretty good considering with the online purchase you have to add postage and you should probably buy a warranty because I understand Canon wont cover it if anything goes wrong, whereas they will with the JB purchased one. When you add on those extras it makes the JB one look pretty competetive. I hope you can get a bit more knocked off it and I'd be going for the JB.
