Fingers crossed for Bosley today. She is having her GAP assessment so here's hoping she's a good girl and does everything right.

Hmmmm it would soak in. I would probably try soaking the lead in cool fresh water for a few minutes in the hope it would soak in too and at least dilute the pissy smell, if not entireloy get rid of it. Then allow the lead to dry naturally and once dry oil it with a good quality leather "food".

Oh Bec, dont make me choose, they're all fantastic. The one of him going for the ball is unusual, it really shows that intensity BCs have.

I am not sure if you mean he actually has an erection. If so, and it's stuck dont leave it out too long. Sometimes cold water or some gentle manipulation with ky gel or oil might help, otherwise it's a vet job. You dont want him loosing circulation in it, dont leave it too long.

so true, I've had whippets for more than 25 years now and I never tire of watching them run, it's just breathtaking.

Rest in peace old girl. ;)

I bit of a wider view with the 50mm. I usually get in closer.

Here's "Her Naughtiness" this morning.

Thanks for looking guys. To those who've only seen whippets trembling on the end of a leash I think this really shows another side to them alot of people have never seen.

Nup, I was born without the computer knowledge gene and am a complete dummy at this stuff.

I think Flickr is much sharper than photobucket. I think photobucket reduces the size of them. Here's photobucket and flickr Hmmmm the photobucket one looks darker too.

Now that's one handsome dog. Lovely Autumny colours too, even though I know it's Winter.

I Fell In Love With A Greyhound Yesterday
Kirislin replied to SeeGee's topic in General Dog Discussion
I have to say Bosley was brilliant last Saturday. A friend came round and she roared out there with hackles up and doing her big warning bark. I had to tell him to wait until I had her leashed and muzzled before he and his dogs came in because I dont know her well enough to be sure how she'd behave. Once I reassured her he was OK she quickly settled but she actually made me think she might be good as a watch dog. She was influenced by my whippets doing their crazy greeting dance. -
He has a friend who's a sports photographer and sometimes he goes along to lend a hand. He's shot footy and a few horse events I think. We're lucky to have him as a whippet enthusiast.

the other blue in the same race is her sister. They're related to my girl Kibah, there's a few in the line with that type of marking.

If you'd like to see more from the day. http://s212.photobucket.com/albums/cc71/yv...mview=slideshow

A perfectly reasonable question to ask. No, they dont have to be muzzled all the time but excitement levels are pretty high when they're on the chase like this and although so far we've had no fights we need to be responsible. The dogs are usually so excited they forget they've got it on.

Pete Hulks photographer, taken with a Canon 40d & 400mm 2.8 lens, that's like a great big papparazzi lens. naughty whippets

Yes, the water made them really spectacular I think, Oh, I meant to say, the last 10 shots in the slide show are of my little girl Feather.

I think that's a great photo of muddy Bob. It shows dogs will have fun whatever the weather.

We had our whippet fun day last Sunday and here's pretty spectacular photos of the little water whippets. Sadly for me, I didn't take a single photo, my camera never saw the light of day. We were 4 committee members down so I was stuck driving the lure all the time but these were taken by Pete Hulks, many thanks to him and his amazing lens. The weather was appalling so I was amazed at how many came along. It made for great photos though. http://s212.photobucket.com/albums/cc71/yv...mview=slideshow here's some if you cant be bothered looking at the slide show. naughty whippets

That exactly right, Ebony collects all sorts of funny things and puts them in one of her beds.....gosh Bosely must have been bored out of her brain in kennels and now she is having so much fun, its so good to see her enjoying her new life so much. This is what I cant help thinking about racing greyhounds.
