Do You Assume Your Dog Is An Invited Guest?
Kirislin replied to slk's topic in General Dog Discussion
I used to have a friend who brought her dog everywhere with her. It was an awful spoiled aggressive GSD who used to attack my dogs if they went to drink in their own water bowls. It eventually bit me on the leg which led to the end of the friendship. The GSD she had before that one crapped all over my freshly steam cleaned carpets when I first moved here. All her dogs were obnoxious and she always took them everywhere with her. You need to do what I never did, set some ground rules before the dog does permanent damage to your house. Well I did actually set some rules, but it ended the friendship. I dont regret it though. -
Are you a Canon or Nikon person? I dont know about Nikon prices but you should be able to get a Canon 1.8 cheaper than that online and even retail. DWI: http://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/store/...sp?idProduct=63 here's the 1.4 http://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/store/...sp?idProduct=62 Cameras Direct: https://www.camerasdirect.com.au/index.php/....8-ii-lens.html although you still have to add postage on top. Beeb got one retail from JB hi fi for $120!

I used to take my first 3 whippets everywhere with me, but I always asked first. They were all very polite and quiet. I dont do it anymore because I have too many. Sometimes I go visiting with some of them, but again, I always check first that it's OK -

OOOh it looks so inviting on a day like today, I am sitting here boiling in the heat and humidity. Where did you go. Camping with 5 dogs, you did well. I love the shot with the 3 of them in the water

Maggots (up Date : Now Talking About Other Yucky Things)

Years ago when I still had a cat I went away overnight and left her some cat food to see her through. When I got with my (then only 2) whippets Iris went up to the cat food that was crawling with maggots and dipped her nose in it. She then walked towards me with them wiggling on the end of her nose and I screamed at her to get away, but I was too late, she smeared them up my bare leg. That's over 20 years ago now and I still get the creeps thinking about it. -
Penny whippet always presents me with something to admire, she prefers not to give it to me. Her son Tag does it alot and so does her daughter Lily. Kibah and her family never do it though so it must run in certain families.
-
they're either flat out sleeping, or flat out running. here's Lily going through the clam shell yesterday, believe me she was there but I could only get the aftermath, there's tadpoles in that pool and they're all going to need therapy after she went through. as usual, too quick for the eye (and camera) to see.

I just love the way this thread has continued, it's over a year old now and people keep buying the lens and keeping it alive with the most gorgeous photos.

Yes, I worry, at the moment I have 8 whippets staying here and 4 of them love doing zoomies, and I mean at 50ks p/h in a fairly confined space. They've just been doing them now, at 38C and Lily was jumping in the taddie pool to cool off. I worry that they will injure themselves or over heat. It's a fine line between letting them play and have fun and making sure, or at least doing my best to ensure their safety.

$735 from there, $660 from DWI http://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/store/...sp?idProduct=30 Plus postage of course. I would recommend getting a filter straight away too. I put mine on from day 1 -

Lenses For Canon Camera - Best Placed To Buy?
Kirislin replied to PuddleDuck's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
I bought from Camera Direct and am happy with the service but AnnieK told me about DWI and they certainly seem the cheapest by far for camera bodies. I haven't compared lenses as yet. -

I didn't realise this Project 365 was on Flickr. Is there one place where you can see them all or do you have to know everyones name there and look individually? -

My Mummy Loves Me, Tag and Penny having some cuddle time. -
could you gently express a bit of milk from her yourself to see what colour it is. I agree with everyone else about starting them on solids too.
-
she has a sad wistful look about her doesn't she. If only they could talk.

Yep I too was going to say Greyhound. I suppose you'd be pretty safe with any sighthound.
