  1. Seriously????????????? Unintentional gold. I can't quite convey how wild I am at what you have done with SOMEONE ELSE'S words, but I assure you I will find a way if you ever do it to mine. you might be wild, I am disgusted and have acted upon it
  2. The TV said so! They never lie! and it was in the paper, must be true
  3. Police also lie their heads off - until they realise the incident was recorded. Fixed that for you. Hardly. In future please refrain from changing my quotes. I'd hate for someone to think I actually did say that and that is precisely the impression your editing conveys. Incident recording keeps everyone honest. If that's your point, make it for yourself. Police are people by the way, regardless of what you think. I'm sure everyone here would be intelligent enough to go back to your actual quote. ;) Not the point.
  4. me too, temperament has always been a biggie with me. I love bounceback! (resilience)
  5. I wouldn't like that answer either. Frankly I would just try the Bowen or acupuncture and see how she goes. If her back is out she may not be able to squat as long as she should to finish properly. I can give you details of a greyhound man that won't cost the earth if you want to try manipulation first. Not bowen or acupuncture though. He does pets and is in Chiltern
  6. which you were going breed she doesn't want to be a registered breeder, she wants to be a byb. she's stated that several times. I've missed that info She's on the wrong forum them Actually Juno just got back from being desexed today, so that would be hard. not really, you can just go get another $500 special from down the road

  8. I have crate trained several pups over the years and I've never bothered with crate games or any such thing. I bring pup home and come night time pup is put in crate in my bedroom and that's it. Set the alarm twice overnight for a few nights, then once, then none. Pop pup in crate during day if I am going out no drama. Go to a show, pup goes in crate. No issues. My advice is - don't over think it.
  9. Sweet sleep Joey. What a lucky boy you have been to have such wonderful people in your life and who can help you on your journey today. The ones who have gone before you now await your arrival.
  10. No. My incredibly nervy, spook dog was born that way. I knew where she came from, how she was raised, saw her frequently before she came home and if you saw her reaction to picking up a mop/broom/stick then you would think, yes she has been abused. But she wasn't - 100% guaranteed.
  11. That makes sense. It sits better with me too because it is about individual dogs. Handmade! Original! One off design! All true but I don't think I'd be using those descriptors either for a living thing. I've jumped down from my high horse now. Clearly hormonal. My mutt's registered name was Exclusive Emma cause quite clearly you could never produce another one the same
  12. well I don't know if its really doing that. It did say that adoptions had increased by 1.4% which is a very small amount and could be down to anything really. I agree that it is a shame that the term 'mutt' has become a dirty word. I personally think it's one of the reasons that so many people with a mixed breed dog refer to it as a breed name and why others get caught up in the oodle phenomena. My mutt gets called a mutt when people ask me, and their reaction is one of such frustration... "but what breed is he?" they ask me... people have forgotten what the word mutt actually means. That's exactly what my x bred dogs have been called as well. I never felt the need to make up a name for them. They were mutts, I'm not ashamed of it and fail to see why anyone else would be. If you love your dog you love them regardless of the name they go by I was never ashamed of my mutt either, loved her to bits, no different to my other dogs.
  13. I re-read my own post and didn't even add the hyphen to show-er. I still got it though, never even thought about the object you wash under
  14. fell at the very first hurdle comes to mind actually.
  15. If I am in an off lead area, as opposed to an off lead fully fenced park, then I do expect to be able to walk my on lead dog there without being approached by off lead dogs. Where I live there is no off lead park but only a couple of off lead area's. These area's are multi purpose walking/bike tracks. One runs past a school, both run alongside a river/creek. Lovely walking, jogging, biking tracks. I've given up walking my dogs there because of off lead dogs being allowed to menace mine. It's a joint area so people who allow their dogs to run around off lead should not be allowing them to run up to other dogs without asking if it's alright first. How hard is it to call your dog back and have it under control and then ask the approaching person if the dogs can greet? It's called respect people. Thank Dog I can take my dogs to the local slipping tack for a run a couple of times a week.
  16. I would be asking your trainer to clarify and explain why they want you to feed raw. I assume you have paid them for their opinion, they need to expand on the what and why.
  17. You asked for information about acupuncture in your first post
  18. You don't have to own a reactive dog to be sick to death of all the offlead dogs harassing you and yours. I don't want your dog coming up to mine uninvited. Why is that so hard for some to understand? I don't care how friendly or well mannered it is, if you are not in an off lead area put the damn dog on a leash.
  19. Warby St vets Wangaratta has a vet visit fortnightly who does chiro and acupuncture. Her name is Christine Gee.
