  1. My results took closer to a month and I sent of both dog's kit's but I asked them to cancel Toby's test and refund me the $99 after I got Lilly's results.
  2. I would love my breeder to babysit my pup! Will never happen though because we are in different states. Imagine how much your breeder would enjoy spending time with the dogs. I would let people sit my pup for a couple of nights once he is toilet trained and well behaved(ish). Actually I will probably need to because it is a breed trait for him to get very attached to me and I don't want him to have eperation anxiety.
  3. Hi all I have a question. My cousin has a 2-3 year old (I'cant remember) Samoyed who has never had any training, who was brought home form the 'breeder' at 6 weeks from his 6mo dam and has not been throughly socialised and is not nutered. (Too much of a challange for me ) I would also appreciate a trainer who can be direct in a way that I as a relative cannot (it's a weired greek/italian thing). She is in the eastern suburbs.
  4. I saw a Wauzer adverstised. West Highland White Terrier x Schnauzer. $950 each!
  5. My vet has one of these and has to use t for Lilly, who is terrified by it and is now scared of the vet.
  6. It would be nice to have a hidden camera and talk to one of these DD breeders/petshops and record all the lies, then report them to comsumer affairs. My cousin wants a poodle cross for next dog. I was just like whats wrong with a plain poodle?
  7. Sure it does RubyStar. How exciting for you, have you been trialling long? Riverside meet on the 20th is the same day as the Vizla meet so there will be lots f dogs down at Riveside Gardens Dog Party!!! I just hope Toby behaves....
  8. I had my first show class (with a borrowed 9yo lab ). Now I am in such a show mood. Is anyone exhibiting this weekend?
  9. Yay Chessie fan club! Don't have my gazette yet so I can't tell you which day gundogs are.
  10. Every day is dragging longer! I brought him a bed and toy today and booked his flights yesterday! But of course Toby ended up with the toy..... I also booked puppy kindy. So excited!!! I was thinking of coming down to Bunbury for a show on the 7th of Feb but he will miss out on being old enough by 4 days. I will be at Western Classic for sure though. My pup is AKC registered now and soon to be ANKC registered!
  11. Well I kind of want to show my pup on 12 weeks because it's a really good show to go to. So I am thinking of taking my friends docile (NOT!), mature (NOT!) 9yo Lab down. And who knows if he gets it I can always enter him in a vetrans class.
  12. Also I was wondering if I can go to showing lessons with a dog I don't plan to show to learn the 'ropes'so I have seen/done a little before the puppy arrives. (i.e borrow my friends 9yo Lab, so I have a pure bred dog to take and it won't matter he is nutered)
  13. Is a dog 6 months at 24 weeks or 6 months (i.e a pup born Jan 1st is 6 months on July 1st or 24 weeks later on June 18)? I know it sounds stupid but I am just working out which show I can enter my future pup in first.
  14. Lilly's mum was a stafford x looking dog (markings like Lilly but short hair, legs and a broad face) Lilly's dad was whatever dog in a nearby factory got to her mum when she was on heat. But Lilly and her mum both have the highest fetching instinct, Lilly used to fecth a leaf, a rock anything. Lilly has no sheep instinct (she likes to chase them at an amble and bark). She is so beatiful (well I think) but she has the worst hips and arthritis in her elbows, knees. You can see in that pic her muscle wastage in her hind leg. She is going so grey.
  15. This is Lilly: And this is her results:
  16. My Lilly came back as 'pure bitsa'no breeds identified. I was so annoyed what a waste of money. Don't do the test unless you are prepared to throw that money in the bin. :D Lilly is the black dog in my sig and avatar.
  17. Toby was the worst little nipper as a pup and used to draw blood... we used to make a 'hurt' noise (which was usually natural because his nips hurt) and just leave the room. If he followed us and nipped at our heels/pants/shoes we would crate him until he was calm, but this was also because he was in a cast and we didn't want him running around all over the place.
  18. Congrats ST!! Do you know when show lessons start again? My new puppy comes home January 11th and I want to try and get a show lesson in the week that he is 12 weeks.
  19. Here is one I have from last year taken with my old compact camera and badly edited in photoshop to fix the light.
  20. When I helped out at an agility trial 'vetting' was when they lined the bitches up and someone wiped them with toilet paper to check they weren't in season. Still dont have my gazette .
  21. http://agilitycoursemaps.com/ Great site, lots of courses.
  22. My dog did begin to tug at training.... but only with other dogs toys I can have the exact same toy as them but he is like a child, if someone else has it, he wants it.
  23. The chicken mince is just minced up frames so it dosent make a diffrence if you give the frames or not. You could use chicken wings or legs, we just give frames to them to occupy thier time and keep their teeth white and sharp. Edited for making sense.
