Death-row Dogs Makeover
keetamouse replied to Boronia's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
Great video, I take all my fosters to Hall in NSW great place with open fields many shade trees, we walk them around and then attach each dog on an elastic long lead to different trees and then the photographer then sits/lies on the ground and each dog just watches what others are doing and then gets the good shots. People often comment on the great photos that are on our site, you can actually enlarge them and see the eyes and close ups of their faces, which sells them even more. We are hoping to advance to videos which is going to be so exciting, for us, at least, we will be enhancing our website shortly as well. http://www.canberrapoochrescue.org.au/web/index.php/dogs Why are some dogs at Monica's there for 5 years, I have never heard of any dogs being in care for that long.....surely the right home has come along in that time..... Fabulous Home For Small Quiet Dog

Not sure any of my 3 year olds are mature and quiet, small dogs are still active at the age of 10 and are not quiet. -

She has the weirdest coat, very coarse but like fleece, enlarge the pics especially the last one and see what you think her coat may be like, it will not grow. -
Am sure people will remember this 9 year old girl from Walgett, she is hopefully off to her new home tomorrow, she was dumped in the pound because her owners said they could no longer take care of her, this girl is 9 years old and so quiet you don't know she is here, never barks, sleeps eats, and just goes with the flow. Before and after.

Yep

Michael was there for around 8 years from memory and he was great and all the staff thought he was too, but over the last couple of years things dramatically changed and working there was impossible according to the reports and from a friends daughter who still works there. Maree CPR

Thanks the family will be driving down to Canberra which is a 13 hour trip can't believe they would do that, they must be really keen. I will find out when they will be leaving, they have sent me pics of their shitty and their yard and I have google'd their house but a home visit is the icing on the cake. Maree CPR

I have heard that she is a breath of fresh air and will pick the brains of her staff and learn the animal side of things, she is very approachable and is interested in her staff and their concerns, she wants to be involved, hands on person, so, so far so good. I have this from one of the girls who I know personally and she can't speak more highly of Tammy. Maree CPR

Is there any one who is in the Joyner area in Brisbane who can do a home check for me?? Maree CPR

I respect your views "but" they are the rare exception rather then the rule, it is just "UNFORGIVABLE" to chain a small dog up outside. Being new to the area is not an excuse nor a reason if anything it is more reason to have the dog inside where it will be safe if she has never lived on property in a new area, if you care/love your dog you will research the area you are going to be living in, it is a copout to plead ignorance  Was your dog under 5 kilos as this dog probably was.

Was the big dog on lead????

Buyer Owes Money For Pup, Not Answering Calls.

Is the dog chipped in the new owners details? is the dog registered with their council, is the receipt for the dog for $1500 or $1000? may make a difference. Maree CPR -
Dogs Get 3rd Degree Burns At A Canberra Groomers
keetamouse replied to Her Majesty Dogmad's topic in In The News
Is the grooming out where clients can see what is happening to their dogs or still behind closed doors. I will come out and have a look when it is opened as I took all my fosters there plus my own dogs and was one of the people who had a dog that was cut deeply by one of Lance's staff and needed 4 staples took me 8 months to get the vet costs back from him, he refused to speak to me but I caught him at work early one day and he was just so obnoxious to me. I wish you all the luck Marianne ( I don't know you though) but hopefully things will go well for you. Maree CPR -
I worry about all these people walking the streets, shopping malls, supermarkets anywhere really with head phones on and using their phone's and texting, they have nearly walked straight into me and if I didn't stamp my foot and say loudly "watch where you are going" it is a real issue with me, you see on youtube people falling off trains stations, into on coming traffic, same thing "watch what you are doing.

The thing that annoys me is that I have emailed them twice and not got a reply

It's a shame you have to watch the whole video to get to the segment.

Don't know if this issue is Pet Rescue or my computer but the font size has increased as well, anyone else having this issue? Maree CPR

No won't work for me, it has been working for years now the curser is flashing but nothing happens when I type, it just keeps flashing, what are people supposed to do when you don't get a reply to your email as well, very frustrating.

Is any one having trouble using the rehomed section of their Pet Rescue listings ie when wanting to check a rehomed dog in the rehomed section you just had to go into the rehomed section and then type in the dogs name and then hit "search" instead of having to troll through them page after page alphabetically until you get to say page 81, is anyone one else having problems, have emailed PR a couple of days ago and have not heard back so thought I would try here.
