Where To Get A Grooming Table
Esky the husky replied to giraffez's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Any pics of it Piper? -
I don't see the problem when the owner isn't home to answer the door. A lot of places around here are fenced like forts, with little intercoms on their gates and a view window in the fence so that the meter can be read without needing access. I think with a lot of blocks getting smaller people have to use all the space they have wisely. I use my front yard for training / excercise only ( and to have a husky free garden)

Elderly Neighbours Dog Ate Chocolate
Esky the husky replied to mantis's topic in General Dog Discussion
Esky 25ish kg husky ate about 1/2 - 3/4 of a big cadbury block plus nuts. She was fine, we didn't need to take her in. I just rang up the emergency vet and he looked up the fatal dosage chart. We weren't even close, so no harm done. -
Staffords aren't exactly rare, I wouldn't be jumping on the first litter that came up if I had to ask if it was even legitimate. There are good breeders here on DOL Maybe jump into the breed subforums up the top of the main page ^^^^ There's a thread for staffords which is fairly active. Should be able to get some suggestions for a good breeder in there.

You should see some of the cat runs in the cat subforum thing wobbly. People have some really awesome set ups. If you're buying the property Poodlewrangler are you going to put up some fences eventually. You're pretty lucky to have a blank slate to work with to do what you like. :)

Feeding A Raw Diet, Without Bones?
Esky the husky replied to aussielover's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Your can buy ground chicken frames from Lenards. I know that some raw feeders purchase their own mincers and then can mince up turkey legs or lamb necks so that they know 100% what goes into the mix :) -

Waiting For A Puppy This Thread Is For You
Esky the husky replied to jess live die's topic in Puppy Chat
There's heaps of reasons a 10 week old could be available. New family changing their mind. Big litter Heaps of pups of that breed born at the same time. Or maybe the breeder was running two bitches on and decided one wasn't going to turn out. You can always find out more Llante, plenty of people have gotten older dogs and been fine -

What Treat Does Your Dog Likes The Most?
Esky the husky replied to Niki8's topic in General Dog Discussion
I'm a total bitch and don't have seperate 'meal times' When I have a puppy all food, kibble or extras like chicken breast for example is earned through training. Especially when they're so young you do a lot of reinforcing behaviours, toileting, sitting, nice manners that I'd rather feed meals this way then load my animal up on processed garbage. My dogs still get treats, but they are literally treats; a rare occurance. Edit My girls favs are small bits of boiled egg, liver treats, chicken pieces and her number one at the moment is bacon. But that gets her a little bit too excited, plus it's too salty for me to want to feed it often -

Building Towns That Are "no-dog-zones"
Esky the husky replied to bdierikx's topic in General Dog Discussion
I voted 'sometimes' for the council being able to declare areas to be no dog zones. On the flip side I'd love if there was a much more 'pro' dog council area too. I've dreamed about what it would look like many a time
