  1. Can't believe how fast they are growing! Thanks for the photos, they are totally gorgeous
  2. That is such a great outcome – glad they have been reunited :D My microchip story is similar, but not so happy. I had a phone call from a local vet one day to say someone had handed my cat in after being run over, I said it can't be mine as she was with me only 20 mins before. Turns out they scanned her chip and traced it to our address in North Wales. We hadn't lived there for several years, so they called round a few vets in that area to see if anyone could confirm the owners and cats’ names. They then called round the vets in the current area to see if anyone had me registered as a client and found me that way. Since Pat was chipped we had moved 4 times, including two years in Norway. I will always be so grateful to the clinic for taking the trouble to track us down, and to the lady who took Pat to the vet. She found her not long after she had been run over - unfortunately she was already dead, but we would never have known her fate if it wasn’t for this kind person. I always wish she had left some contact details so we could have thanked her. Chip details get changed now everytime we move!
  3. We've recently got a treadmill for ourselves, but have also been introducing the dogs to it. Daisy is going well, but tonight after a few mins she stopped and squatted suddenly, so I pulled the emergency cord and she did a poo right on our new treadmill I guess she poops while on a normal walk so figured it was also acceptable while walking on the treadmill luckily it was pretty firm and easy to deal with

  17. Thanks megan and Snook :) and thanks for the tips Snook, it does make sense but my proficiency with PS is nil as I only have LR at the moment, and I think I've already used my allocation of pressies from Santa this year, so it may be a while before I can get PS I could really do with it as I'd love to clone out the weird thing behind Ruby in this one. Note to self - pay more attention to the background doofus!
  18. I'm so sorry RV He was such an awesome dog and he had the best life with you and Zora - always so happy when we visited :) RIP Toby Huge hugs
  19. I had the pleasure of taking some photos a few weeks back of RubyStar’s labs - Ruby and Millie, and her mums Mini Schnauzer, Pippa. I finally had time to finish editing the shots at the weekend, so with RS’s permission I thought I’d share some here. Two dark dogs and a light one was fun, but for the first time I went fully manual for most of the shots. Ruby is still too bright in some, but the exposure was better when I told the camera what to do rather than the other way around  Any tips welcome though for helping with exposure in this situation in the future :) All three were so well behaved, the labs have the happiest faces, and Pippa is just so cute with her little bright button eyes :D Full set here :) http://flickr.com/gp/56265770@N02/dyD996/
  20. How adorable is Tilly in wk 38 and I can see how Simba became permenent, look at that face! especially in the last one - just gorgeous lovely to see all your catch up pics annie :)
  21. Daisy would never try, but Louis is well trained - If I say 'kiss' I get a one quick lick on my nose  My cocker was a sod for trying to lick your ear
  22. Thanks again everyone :) I chose this one as it's about the only one of mine that isn't of a bug, bird, dog or a cat  but luckily it seemed popular :)
  23. Thanks everyone :D it was a fun night with about 25 pieces for sale ranging from quilts, to paintings, photos and poems. There are some seriously talented people in our office, a few of the paintings were really, really good! Glad you are enjoying the lens :D That is a cool lizard - you have to make sure he puts in an appearance next time we visit
  24. omg that is soooo funny - brilliant capture
  25. We had an Art for Autism auction at work tonight with pieces submitted by staff. I entered the pic below with no reserve, hoping it would raise maybe $50 - several people bid for it and it went for $300 So chuffed to have sold my first photo and helped raise some money for autism :) Edited as stoopid iPad posted before I had written anything that made sense
