  1. Hi rescue, (westiemum I hope you don't mind me quoting you on this dog bit but you have described them so well. ) I have only just recently learnt of this fantastic organisation in the cook islands where I am headed on saturday. If anyone has any small item donations and are able to drop it off by saturday afternoon at Alexandria, pls PM me. I will pay them a visit and take whatever donations I can with me, whatever doesnt fit will most certainly make it to rescue either way. Items will need to be as clean as possible as I won't have time to be cleaning before packing it with out stuff and also dont want to violate any customs/quarantine issues. Otherwise, anyone wanting to make monetary donations, the foundation website is set up to take donations online eta: I am travelling to Asquith for a dinner tonight (up near Hornsby) and can detour for a quick pickup if needed.
  2. from rachelle at petsnaturally.com.au - arrives by courier the next day! (as long as your payment clears of course - she take paypal too, not sure if that's on the website)
  3. K9A so very sorry for your loss. You've gone through more than your fair share. RIP beautiful blacky, gone too soon. for yoy k9a
  4. Oh anne I've only just seen this, I had no idea even though we've been emailing. This is me too, and I couldn't have said it better than wendy just has, just tears together with you. Thinking of you and the rest of your pack. I feel lucky to have met him, a special boy indeed. RIP monte.
  5. She sounds like she is on the right path, not everyone knows as much as you do, and I commend and am in awe with your patience and education of this girl, so she has to start from somewhere, and it sounds like she's asked the right person and seems to want to do the right thing. I hope everything else in her life allows her the capacity to keep on doing the right thing.
  6. why did I look... just saw another gorgeous ftgh, 2yo kelpie (dob 7/08/2010), desexed and vetwork done. ad was quickly written and loaded on the phone...

  11. Miss panto learnt how to use the pedal for the bin smorgasboard, so now we have tall pedal bins only! My flatmate years ago caught her with paws on pedal, head in bin helping herself to a buffet!
  12. me too. I hope the dog and elderly lady are both ok...
  13. Far out... who would have thought a good deed could have resulted in such a hassle for the old lady? Be interesting to find out more...
  14. I wonder if the eyes are strategically placed...
  15. hey steve, that link didn't work for me... came up with an error...
  16. lol yes I was in two minds about this... then I thought it would be a great way to hug someone too!
  17. I just saw these awesome dog shirts and had to share!! so cute!! . **disclaimer - I don't work for these guys, just thought they were really awesome and thought other dog lovers might think so too!
  18. Hey Jelly, perhaps there is a foster carer or rescue who may benefit from daytime company at your place too? Roo will have company and so will this other dog. This would involve a fair bit of research, phone conversations etc to find the right person/dog match so that it may also be of benefit to the other dog, a long shot but a shot nonetheless.
  19. I pop collars in a bucket of water with eucalyptus wool/delicate wash overnight, does an amazing job cleaning and getting rid of smells! I sun dry them too. maybe your existing ones can still be saved? aiordog collars look pretty good though...
  20. Hi EH! When are you coming? (and you have just the one dog, yes?) I am listed on airbnb as a bed and breakfast. We are not listed as pet friendly, however will consider the occassional crate trained or senior / placid dog if they get along well with my girl. Pls PM me if you are interested. We are between the airport and CBD, with the train station a few mins walk away that goes directly to the show with your showlink ticket. eta: oops just saw you said next wknd. yes the room is free next wknd, so pls just PM me if you are interested. It is an ensuite bedroom.
  21. Party time! Well done! well done! perserverence and determination together with a smart and responsible approach... will be thinking of you come good friday, have a fantastic easter!!
  22. I was the opposite, I would see the place, befriend the showing agent, put in and application then ask. By that stage they're already batting for you as the applicant for the landlord to choose. Good luck! Ps. I wrote a pet 'cv' for my girl. Your blurb/references is a great idea! :)
  23. so sorry for your loss gb I hope the weeks ahead start to get easier and their memories bring you smiles.
  24. guys this is heartbreaking, please give each other the benefit of the doubt, I believe everyone is agreeing on keeping pups with mum til they are 8weeks. I read T's post as there had been success because there had been complications with mum therefore requiring early removal, or perhaps they were orphaned for any given reason. trisven, indigirl, t & nina, I have followed your rescue efforts lurking with the possibility I can stick my hand up and help at some point, and you guys all do amazing work. please give each other the benefit of the doubt here regardless of what history there may or may not be, you guys have huge hearts of gold. :flower: :flower:
