  1. Is there a link somewhere to Jeds news video story? Scrap that - I notice someone else just posted it
  2. I'd contact the Lab Club in their State, I'm sure they probably have a wait list of people waiting for Rescue/Rehome Labs.
  3. http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?showtopic=198354 This collection includes 7 items for Small Dogs right up to the Large Breeds, each item contains real Rabbit Fur and is most suited to handlers who are trying to achieve more motivation in their dogs i.e. Drive Training, Obedience, Agility, Fly Ball etc. Real Bunny Fur tugs are not toys, they are tools for training and as such should not be left with dogs unsupervised as they may eat the fur. Dogs go crazy for these tugs as they are not void of scent. This a great package to get in on with your friends to share around! The package includes one off items not available at www.dmantugs.com.au
  4. Heya, you would open the Master Slide and make your adjustments there
  5. I had a pup that would chase after you if you walked away and would bite your legs etc. After trying all the typical methods without success we gave him a correction at a level suitable to him as an individual to make him cease. All puppies are different, if people haven't experienced a pup that will run after you trying to bite you it's hard to comprehend. I thinnk time outs can work for some very people focussed dogs.
  6. You need to only have the pup in the area where you can watch it because every accident it has reinforces that toileting mistake. So, every mistake the pup has is your fault because you're not watching the pup. Take pup outside every hour when you're home and also after waking and play and eating. You don't have to give pup a treat, you can simply give praise, puppies love praise i.e. as soon as puppy starts to toilet in the right place you can very calmly say "Good Toilet" or whatever your command is and then as soon as they finish lay on the praise big time. How long does it take to toilet train? How long is a bit of string If you set pup up for success and minimise the accidents you let pup have the fast pup will be toilet trained.

I suppose, but in that case I've missed out on most of the socialization period! I've only had her a week! I wouldn't freak out yet ok, many pups even pups who have been very actively out and about in their socialisation periods do still have scary moments. You feeling up tight about it isn't going to help pup. If you are worried you can make an appointment with a Behaviourist. For now I would just let the Vet do their thing and see how she is after she's better but I would just ignore the things she seems jumpy at.
  8. He could have had a little scary moment and this is reinforcing how he feels now or could just be that now the no backing just doesn't make him feel very secure. What pup is experiencing is pretty standard, many dogs do not like stairs with no backing because they don't seem to feel safe on them, I would cover the gaps. If inside you can just use blu tac and cardboard and if outside you can just use cut out pieces of tarp or something waterproof and staple to cover the gaps. We've built ramps at our 2 previous rentals, there is a way you can make them without making them a permanent addition with nails etc.

Fear periods don't come right on time, they're just approx. time lines.
  10. Humping pillows isn't neccessarily going to go away after he's desexed.
  11. I saw it yesterday and had a good giggle as Dante lifted his leg on the tree.
  12. If she's aggressing towards you then you're not at the top of ladder as you think, for any types of aggression that you can't control get in a Behaviourist
  13. Shortly after adopting Leila she started to cough, the Vets we saw at the time said it was Heart Worm (without testing her) and wanted to treat her for it and gave us a shocking quote. We went to another Vets and got anti-biotics for her Kennel Cough.
  14. I reckon they would bring more attention to the area! LOL
  15. I do Rabbit Fur tugs, I still have a bit of a supply left until I run out and then I don't know what I'm going to do as I cannot find anywhere to source Rabbit from now, I can get plenty of Kangaroo and Sheep thought but they're not my preference. Unbreakable leather leads go to K9Pro.
  16. were you asking me ? I reckon I could do it but the material requirements will be huge and I think it would have to be hand delivered to Sydney. Apart from the above, it's do-able I'd def be interested to see how you go with the smaller ones, I reckon they'd be awesome for the Danes!
  17. Was the Dane Size one out of the question? LOL
  18. My Danes are on: Mighty XXL XL
