I don't think its rude to report an animal that seems to be in distress. Good on you for caring. If the owner is doing the right thing by their dog they should have nothing to worry about. Speaking to the owner may not give you the desired outcome. If we all do nothing....

My youngest dog has this most amazing habit of pulling her lips back into the most over-acting snarl you have ever seen when playing. Now the rest of her gang do exactly the same face - they've learnt it from her. She will also pretend bite the cushions, which naturally now the rest all do that too...

And if you are in the country areas be very very careful of baits put down for foxes etc.

Yes! Night time wees, turn off the TV and older dog Chester yipes like a crazy dog running to the back door all excited, younger one Sparky groans and pretends she's got broken legs and slides off the couch as slowly as possible and looks as miserable as possible while slinking to the back door. Every. Single. Night.

Does anyone have experience with dog boots? How well do they stay on? Does the dog like wearing them? One of my dogs gets allergies in summer and we cant walk him on dried out grassy areas which will set up a reaction and start him licking. Also we are going outback camping with him soon and last time camping the prickles were so bad, poor little guy refused to walk!

Well tonight I took my anxious over hyper girl to the vets, where she would usually scream at all the dogs - she whined at the first dog and then when she saw dog number 2 she settled and ignored. All my hard work is paying off! I was soooo proud of her. As we walked into the vet she saw a dog on lead and instead of her usual screaming, she turned and ignored

These guys enchanted us on our last camping trip, I had never met them before that :D entertaining little creatures!

Is this the first time you've tried zantac (or similar)? My son had an ulcer where he'd just vomit up food straight away and zantac, valium and some other kind of anxiety medication helped him get better.

Sure you don't have as much time for them when the babies are little, but you all adjust and all are richer for having both babies and dogs. I think ALL kids should be brought up with dogs, they learn respect and care for something other than themselves. That lady is so self centred!
